Tesla Motors Leads the Charge in Biden's Ambitious Plan for an Electric Auto Industry Revolution

The Biden administration is gearing up to introduce some of the most stringent auto pollution limits globally, aiming for electric cars to constitute up to 67% of new passenger vehicles sold in the US by 2032, according to anonymous sources. This ambitious target would mark a significant leap for the US, where only 5.8% of vehicles sold last year were all-electric, and exceed President Biden's previous goal of all-electric cars accounting for half of those sold in the country by 2030. This move would be the federal government's most aggressive climate regulation, propelling the US to the forefront of global efforts to reduce greenhouse gases produced by cars, a significant contributor to climate change. The proposed regulation, however, poses a considerable challenge for automakers, as most have already invested heavily in electric vehicles (EVs) but haven't committed to the levels envisioned by the Biden administration. Additionally, many have faced supply chain issues that have hindered production. Even manufacturers enthusiastic about electric models are uncertain whether consumers will buy enough of them to make up the majority of new car sales within a decade.

Twitter Labels NPR as "State-Affiliated Media" Sparking Backlash and Concerns Over Public Confidence in News

National Public Radio (NPR) has refused to tweet from its main account until Twitter CEO Elon Musk removes a “false label” that designates the news organization as “state-affiliated media.” Musk recently admitted that his designation of the media outlet “might not be accurate” and that he was still evaluating the label on the nonprofit media org’s account. As of Friday, however, NPR was still falsely designated as state-controlled on the social media site. While it remains unclear why Musk suddenly decided to place NPR in the same category as Chinese and Russian government propaganda, Twitter has stealth-edited its own guidelines following its change to NPR’s bio. Prior to placing it on par with RT and Sputnik, the site actually cited NPR as an example of “state-financed media organizations with editorial independence” that should not be labeled as state-run. #twitter #elon #NPR

Tesla's Master Plan Part 3 Reveals Future Vehicle Fleet and Cybertruck Battery Details

https://stagezero.supercast.com/v1 Tesla's recently released "Master Plan Part 3" outlines ambitious plans for the future of its electric vehicle (EV) fleet and a shift towards utilizing lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries. The document reveals interesting details about the Cybertruck's surprisingly conservative 100 kWh battery pack size, which, if capable of achieving over 300 miles per charge, would make the all-electric pickup one of the most efficient in its segment. Tesla aims to make electric vehicles and heavy electric trucks more accessible and affordable by adopting LFP battery technology for its affordable EVs and "Semi Light" short-range heavy electric trucks, as well as its mid-sized vehicles, Model 3 and Model Y. The Master Plan Part 3 serves as a roadmap for Tesla's vision in shaping the future of the EV industry, focusing on affordability, safety, and efficiency. As Tesla continues to innovate and push for widespread adoption of LFP batteries and new EV models, the electric vehicle market is set to evolve, with Tesla playing a significant role in steering it towards a more sustainable and environmentally friendly direction. The successful implementation of LFP batteries in Tesla's US-produced vehicles will be essential in achieving the goals outlined in the Master Plan Part 3 and in overcoming challenges related to US-China political tensions.

Elon's Twitter Plan: Destroy Youtube

While Twitter has long been a popular platform for sharing short, text-based updates, the company has been exploring new ways to keep users engaged and attract new ones. The company has recognized the power of video in the modern era, and its upcoming changes reflect its efforts to make the platform more video-friendly. One of the significant changes that Twitter is implementing is to incorporate 4K video into its layout and home feed. This move will make Twitter more competitive with video-sharing giant YouTube, which has long been the go-to platform for high-quality video content. By enabling users to upload and stream high-resolution videos, Twitter hopes to attract creators who prioritize quality over brevity. Moreover, Twitter plans to introduce vertical videos, similar to YouTube Shorts or TikTok. This new feature will allow creators to create short, immersive video content that is optimized for mobile viewing. With the rise of TikTok, vertical videos have become increasingly popular, and Twitter's decision to incorporate them could attract a younger demographic to the platform.

Twitter Sued : Claims Over $14 Million in Unpaid Bills

In the latest development of the ongoing saga between Tesla CEO Elon Musk and Twitter, it has been revealed that some of the alleged unpaid bills relate to work done by the social media platform to close the contentious acquisition deal with Musk himself. As the deal came together last fall, Twitter executives were reportedly racing to complete it and arranged last-minute charter flights for then-Chief Marketing Officer Leslie Berland. However, after the deal closed, Twitter refused to pay for the flights, with head of global strategic sourcing Marty O'Neill arguing that only designated representatives were allowed to book flights through the charter. Another Twitter worker claimed that former CEO Parag Agrawal had approved the flights, but O'Neill responded that "new management is not going to budge." In response, the air-charter company, Private Jet Services Group, filed a lawsuit seeking $197,725, which has now been voluntarily dismissed with no comment from either side. Meanwhile, Tesla had been facing its own financial challenges, with CEO Elon Musk stating that the company was not behind on payments to suppliers because of a lack of funds but because it was "arguing whether the parts are right." The automaker had also been seeking rent reductions from some landlords in the early days of the Covid-19 pandemic as it, along with many other companies, scrambled to conserve cash.

Twitter Boosts Elon Musk's Tweets 1000x After Urgent Request

Twitter has deployed code to artificially boost Elon Musk's tweets by a factor of 1,000 after the billionaire complained about the lack of engagement his posts were receiving. According to a report from Casey Newton at Platformer, after a tweet about the Super Bowl received less engagement than President Joe Biden's, Musk took to Slack to issue an urgent request for help from engineers. Late on Sunday, Musk addressed his team in person and warned them they would all lose their jobs if the engagement issue was not resolved. By Monday, Twitter had deployed code to "greenlight" all of Musk's tweets, and artificially boost them, allowing his posts to bypass Twitter's filters designed to show people the best content possible. This "power user multiplier" now applies only to Musk, and the code allows Musk's account to bypass Twitter heuristics that would otherwise prevent a single account from flooding the core ranked feed, now known as "For You." #elonmusk #twitter #tesla

Elon Musk's Tesla Vs. Ford Motor Co Battery Factory - spacex starship update

Ford Motor Co. and Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Ltd. (CATL) are set to build a multibillion-dollar battery plant in Michigan, according to sources familiar with the matter. The plant, located about 100 miles west of Detroit, is expected to create approximately 2,500 jobs. The project has been mired in geopolitical tensions between the US and China. Despite the uncertainty around the interpretation of requirements in President Joe Biden’s signature climate package, the Inflation Reduction Act, Ford is moving ahead with the project. The White House has reportedly requested that Tesla makes its extensive charging network available to other electric vehicles, according to two sources familiar with the situation. The request was made during a private meeting between two senior White House officials, tasked with implementing President Biden's clean energy packages, and Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, and other company officials at the company's D.C. office on Jan. 27.
