Albert Parsons, el líder anarquista, fue un obrero estadounidense que luchó por los derechos laborales, aunque nunca se probó su vinculación, fue acusado de un atentado en donde otros anarquistas arrojaron una bomba a su adversarios. Su legado sigue simbolizando la represión estatal contra el movimiento obrero y la prensa radical de aquel siglo.
