In the Bechukotai section, Elohim promises that if the Children of Israel observe his commands, they will enjoy material prosperity and live securely in their land. However, he also gives a stern "rebuke" warning of exile, persecution, and other sufferings that will befall them if they forsake their covenant with Elohim.
The root of all evils is found in these admonitions, All diseases, all obstacles, all blockages, and all other impediments to the Light of the Creator. These admonitions stem from seven grave sins that are the root of all curses. Therefore, all evil and all sins have a root. What are these seven transgressions?
1) Failure to heed the divine command
2) Failure to observe the divine commandments
3) Disdain for the divine precepts
4) Rejection of the divine laws
5) Failure to fulfill the divine commandments
6) Abolition of the divine covenant
