Parasha terumah The people of Israel contribute fifteen materials - gold, silver, and copper; wool dyed blue, purple, and red; linen, goat's hair, animal skins, wood, olive oil, spices, and precious stones – with which, Elohim says to Moshe: "You will make for Me a sanctuary, and I will dwell among them." At the top of Mount Sinai, Moshe receives detailed instructions on how to build this abode for Elohim so that it can be easily dismantled, transported, and reassembled during the town's different journeys through the desert. In the innermost room of the Sanctuary, behind an artistically embroidered curtain, was the Ark containing the Tablets of the Testimony engraved with the Ten Words; on the lid of the Ark were two cherubim (angels) carved from pure gold. In the outer room was the Menorah of seven luminaries and the Table on which the "lechem of faces" was accommodated.
