NOAJ
At the beginning of this week's Torah portion, Noah is described as a man who embodies righteousness and strives for perfection. The verse states, "Noah was a righteous man (ish tzadik), perfect in his generation; Noah walked with Elohim" (Genesis 6:9). In contrast to the amoral community around him, Noah carefully adheres to a code of ethical behavior and is an ish tzadik, elevating what might otherwise seem mundane experiences.
