The Kedoshim section begins with the phrase "You shall be holy, for I, God your Master, am holy." followed by dozens of Mitzvot, which guide the Jew in sanctifying himself and relating to Elohim's holiness. These include the prohibition against idolatry, the mitzvah of charity, the principle of equality before the law, Shabbat, sexual morality, honesty in business, honor, and fear of parents, and the importance of life. Additionally, in the Book of Leviticus, we find the phrase that the renowned Rabbi Akiva taught as a fundamental tenet of the Jewish faith. Hillel, another prominent figure in Jewish history, once said, "This is the essence of the Torah. Everything else is commentary." The underlying message is clear: love your neighbor as yourself.
