In the parsha Tazria, the discussion on the laws of ritual purity and impurity continues. When a woman gives birth, she must undergo a purification process, which includes immersion in a naturally gathered pool of water called a mikveh, and presenting offerings at the Temple. Additionally, all male babies must be circumcised on the eighth day, because the significance of the Sabbath can be seen in the fact that the circumcision is postponed until the eighth day. Allows the baby to experience Shabbat before circumcision. Only by experiencing the sanctity of Shabbat can the baby reach the level of eligibility to enter the sanctity of the Jewish people through the Brit Milah.
