YITRO
Moshe's father-in-law, Itro, hears about the great
miracles Elohim performed for the people of Israel.
Yitro arrives at the Israelite camp with Moshe's wife
and two sons. Itro advises Moshe to appoint a
hierarchy of magistrates and judges to help him
govern and administer justice to the people.
The Children of Israel camp in front of Mount Sinai,
where they informed that Elohim chose them as his
"nation of priests" and "holy nation." People respond
by proclaiming, "All that Elohim said, we will do." On
the sixth day of the third month (Sivan), seven weeks
after the Exodus, the entire nation of Israel gathers at
the foot of Mount Sinai. Elohim descends on the
mountain amid thunder, lightning, smoke, and the
shofar and commands Moshe to ascend
