將柔道隊營造成像家的氛圍，是太平國小陳慧欣教練從小親身經歷的，小時候因父母離異，頓時失去方向，但在加入柔道隊後，讓她感受到「歸屬感」，也特別感謝教練，每次在人生關鍵的時刻，都有他們的陪伴，從擔任國手，到選手退役後，輾轉擔任教練，使她有一個期許「盡我的能力，可以接住每個最弱的孩子」。
