Albertas emergency health services launch HELP-U pilot in Edmonton and Calgary, March 17th. Six vehicles, staffed by primary caregivers, respond to non-emergency calls, treating patients on-site and guiding them to follow-up care. The program aims to reduce ambulance clogging and improve patient outcomes. Results will be tracked for potential expansion. Meanwhile, new ten-year ambulance contracts are planned, starting summer 2026.
