Show Notes
A federal office in Canada cancels Rock Machine motorcycle clubs trademark, ending a legal battle over the iconic patch tied to a brutal biker war. The stylized bird design, featuring Rock Machine and Nomads lettering plus one percent symbols, was registered in 2012 by Sylviette Brown. However, it was challenged last year by Toronto lawyers who claimed it wasnt being used commercially. The Browns, including Sylviette and her son Shawn, better known as Bad Dog, suspect American Rock Machine chapters are behind the challenge. The Trademarks Opposition Board ruled against the Browns in February, but they plan to appeal, insisting they want the logo to stay Canadian-owned and off the streets. The Rock Machines infamous clash with the Hells Angels in Quebec, which left over 160 people dead, has left a lasting impact on the outlaw club scene.
