Show Notes
The University of Edinburghs Teviot student union, the worlds oldest purpose-built one, reopened after a two-and-a-half-year refurbishment. The modernized hub, opened on March 4th, preserves historic charm while adding key accessibility features and new spaces for students. The renovation includes a lounge, gallery cafe, group workspaces, and a new bar and restaurant called Union Social. Students and locals are excited for the inclusive space, which will host live music, DJs, pub quizzes, and sports screenings. The union remains a year-round events spot, hosting the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in August.
