Edinburgh councillors have approved an Orange March along the Royal Mile this summer, despite concerns over a participating flute bands social media posts praising a former Ulster Volunteer Force member involved in bombings. The march, set for June twenty-seventh, will feature around three hundred participants and is a tradition that has run every year since nineteen oh two, skipping only the world wars and Covid years.
