Angie Brown, a 47-year-old florist from Bathgate, Scotland, is fighting for access to Tofersen, a drug that could slow her rare form of motor neurone disease. Diagnosed in 2021, Angie has the SOD1 gene variation, which affects about 2% of MND patients. Despite being available for free from Biogen, Scotland is not offering it due to clinic administration issues. Angie, who has a family history of MND, is seeking a clinic in England to access the treatment, as she believes it could let her live longer and better.
