Thanks to London Flair PR & Shaimaa Khan we had the opportunity to check out a silent animated short, that explores themes of loss, grief, mental fatigue, emotional isolation, amongst other things. THEN, we sit down with the one man band who created & conceived this incredible piece. We talk about the process, finding the story, and building from that point, the emotional aspect, as well as delving into a different culture. MARGARET always have an array of interesting titles, so it was tremendously enjoyable to work with Robyn Deane for this marvellous book adaptation! As soon as you step into the world of 'Little Amélie', you can see why the BAFTA's, Oscar's and Cesar's have so much love for this story. SO, getting to sit down with the co-director's and exploring what went into the 7 years of meticulous refinement, growth, evolution, and story breadth! I'd tried to look at the film earlier in the year, but things didn't come together. Out of the blue though, I got a message from the director, and we got things popping! Which was fantastic, cause this film.....the psychological rollercoaster is crazy! You don't know where it's going, and then when we get there, the questions!!! And of course, we sit down with this master storyteller in the making, to find out things like, what that feature debut vibe felt like.
