Sports cards are a billion-dollar industry that has gained an influx of notoriety this year with the rise of NBA Top Shot and NFTs. The return on some cards have outpaced the return on stocks, Cryptocurrency, and real estate. Card collections have turned into portfolios for many savvy investors. Cards have sold for millions. Recently, a rare one of one Luka Doncic’s rookie card sold for a record $4.6 million.
Buster Scher is a young genius. At 20 years old, he runs one of the most influential basketball pages on social media, Hoops Nation. He has 1 million followers on Instagram and 5 million on TikTok. He’s the commentator of Revolt’s crew league, he’s an expert sports card collector, and heads an online community called Card Nation, which is dedicated to sports card collectors.
