Show Notes
A new heavily mutated Covid variant has been identified named Omicron.
It's been rapidly labelled a variant of concern by the World Health Organisation, and is already spreading to other countries, including Australia.
Originating from South Africa, there's a shortage of real-world data, and no one really knows how big of a threat it poses.
Principal scientist at the Institute of Environmental Science and Research professor Mike Bunce joined Kate Hawkesby.
