Perpetual Guardian Foundation is a charitable organisation which gives scholarships to nurses to advance their training via private donors.
Foundation Philanthropy Manager Kirsten Killian-Taylor told Kate Hawkesby they want to help.
She says the charity sector can do its bit as funding is tight in many government departments.
