This week on the show I'm joined by a really special guest in Harry Garside. Harry is an Australian boxer who recently returned home from the Olympics where he picked up a Bronze Medal that he'll add to his collection alongside a Gold Commonwealth Games.
When you think of fighting, you might be guilty of picturing aggressive, intimidating figures. Harry is definitely intimidating in the ring but outside it, he's an incredibly thoughtful young man intent on breaking trends and social norms that significantly contribute to negative masculinity. Most notably of late he's outlined how ballet gives him an edge, spoken openly about his mental health, wore nail polish in the olympics and planned to wear a dress to the opening ceremony.
Harrys got a lot to offer the world and I'm happy to be jumping on the Garside bandwagon. He's on the precipice of transitioning to pro-fighting so there's no better time to jump on with me. Can't wait for you to hear this chat and connect on it in the coming weeks and hopefully Harry invites me to be in his posse at one of his pro fights.
