After seven months, investigators used geofencing technology to identify Carlo Fuentes Flores, a painter who had worked at the ranch. Flores confessed to assaulting and suffocating Woodrum, leading authorities to her remains. He was sentenced to life without parole in 2022, with his appeal denied in 2023, closing the case.
