Greg Fishel, a North Carolina weather veteran, started his career at WRAL in 1981, rising to chief meteorologist by 1989. Known for his unique style and love for weather science, he built custom graphics and engaged viewers despite his introverted nature. After WRAL parted ways in 2019, he explored various roles, including spokesperson work and rideshare driving. Now back in the Triangle area, Fishel produces regular weather updates for Patreon subscribers from his home studio.
