The girls are summoned back to the town of Helmfirth, where they first met, to assist with locating a missing research caravan. The Dungeon Rats and several other amazing actual-play podcasts were asked to record and produce the newest adventure module from Dungeons and Dragons, Tomb of Annihilation. Jim Darkmagic defeats a beholder in the Underdark, Binwin and Viari battle a crazed Drizzt Do'Urden and his panther Guenhwyvar to rescue him from madness. After Drizzt is rescued, he saves the party from a drider.

DM Chris Perkins leads the Acquisitions Inc. party to the Purple Wyrm inn in the depths of the Underdark where they are attacked by a group of mind flayers and a beholder. Two curmudgeonly gargoyles provide running commentary.

Acquisitions Inc. (Jerry Holkins and Mike Krahulik from Penny Arcade, Scott Kurtz from PvP, and author Patrick Rothfuss) is sent by Portentia on a mission into the Underdark for evaulative purposes. The party climbs into the mechanical beholder and starts to bore into the earth towards the Underdark.

Minsc and Boo aid the party in repelling the attackers. Binwin boards a mechanical beholder, Jim impersonates their tiefling leader, Viari swings from chandeliers, Omin calls upon Tymora, and the party is able to repel the invasion.

DM Chris Perkins leads Acquisitions Inc. (Jerry Holkins and Mike Krahulik from Penny Arcade, Scott Kurtz from PvP, and author Patrick Rothfuss) against a coming assault (due to Jeff's incompetence) on their Baldur's Gate base by cultists. The party rearranges the rooms in preparation for the incursion.

The party manages to board the airship and attempt to escape from the dragons and into a storm; they use the airship's available weaponry to fend off dragons and use kegbots to put out deck fires. Omin's sister, dressed as a cultist, surreptitiously appears on the airship and Binwin fells her with a double axe attack to the back.

Picking up where they left off, DM Chris Perkins leads Acquisitions Inc. (Jerry Holkins and Mike Krahulik from Penny Arcade, Scott Kurtz from PvP, and TV personality Morgan Webb) against a large number of dragons. Also, there's an airship.

Chris Perkins takes Acquisitions Inc. on an adventure against an evil dragon cult who has stolen valuable dragon eggs. The party stealthily spirit away the eggs from the dragon but are cornered by a second dragon as attempt to exit.

Acquisitions Inc. (Jerry Holkins and Mike Krahulik from Penny Arcade, Scott Kurtz from PvP) is joined by a new intern (TV personality Morgan Webb). Omin is made a Lord of Waterdeep and the party climbs back into the Hallister statue after being tasked with rescuing dragon eggs.

Viari narrowly escapes from the dryads, the party awakens and defeats a dracolich, Jim uses burning hands on his bird friend. The party unearths the Hallister statue and defeats a tarrasque attacking Waterdeep.

Acquisitions Inc. (Jerry Holkins and Mike Krahulik from Penny Arcade, Scott Kurtz from PvP, and author Patrick Rothfuss) continue into Undermountain where they meet Tipsy and have a drink, receive the orb from a unicorn in the forest room, and Viari is entranced by a group of dryads.

Acquisitions Inc. continues exploring the mysteries of Hallister's Ark, the party is attacked by a succubus and Omin revives Viari who then revives Jim. Binwin doesn't get his robot dwarf.

The party descends into Undermountain and explores Hallister's various treasure and trap rooms, including the frog room, forest room, book room, dark hallway, and meet a planar genie who rewards them with treasure.

After Omin is run down by a stagecoach and learns of Tymora, Acquisitions Inc. (Jerry Holkins and Mike Krahulik from Penny Arcade, Scott Kurtz from PVP, and author Patrick Rothfuss) goes to a disused shop and discovers a secret entrance to Undermountain and begin to search for the Mad Mage Hallister's treasure.

DM Chris Perkins takes Acquisitions Inc. (Jerry Holkins and Mike Krahulik from Penny Arcade, Scott Kurtz from PVP) to Waterdeep where they meet their new intern, Viari (author Patrick Rothfuss), who has a magical and potentially lucrative magical map.

The party descends into the Mines of Madness in search of the Forever Stone, attempt to rescue Hug Hug from a rust monster.

DM Greg Bilsland leads musician Molly Lewis, artist Chris Straub, artist Scott Kurtz, and author Stepto on an adventure into the Mines of Madness in search of the Forever Stone, which has the power to grant eternal life.

In the second part of this session from 2012, Wil Wheaton's Aeofel has to go into a very cramped hole and Acquisitions Inc. (Jerry Holkins and Mike Krahulik from Penny Arcade, Scott Kurtz from PVP) must follow.
