The Anaheim Ducks finished the month of December mainly on the road with eight of their final nine games away from Honda Center. The Ducks had a pattern of exchanging wins and losses almost every other night. Anaheim then started the new year with a wild victory over the Philadelphia Flyers. The game featured everything from a jerseyless fight, a hat trick, overtime, shootout, and even an appearance by Teemu Selanne.
