Professor Linvill is a academic, an author, a researcher and an expert on social media disinformation and political discourse.&nbsp;As an Associate Professor in Clemson's Department of Communications, his research explores state sponsored <a href="https://newsstand.clemson.edu/mediarelations/national-security-agencies-tap-clemson-professors-russian-trolling-research/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">social media disinformation</a> and its influence on civil and political discourse.
