Show Notes
This week Larry visits with Donnie Draeger wildlife biologist for South Texas Brush Country’s famed Comanche Ranch about their numerous year project to determine the real value of culling whitetail bucks based on antler development by cohort. And their project to essentially genetically map the buck herd on portions of their property. The results of this long-study research is changing the way those of us who manage property for quality whitetail and wildlife management-minded hunters are doing things, particularly when it comes to determining what bucks to harvest. Great information for all who love white-tailed deer.
