Cherida Tai A Pin heeft Chinees-Surinaamse roots, iets wat je in ons land niet zo vaak hoort. Ook al was ze als kind best trots op haar afkomst, tegelijkertijd wilde ze zo ‘normaal’ mogelijk zijn, net als de anderen. Cherida is iemand die altijd vooruitkijkt, maar de laatste tijd is ze beginnen beseffen hoe waardevol het om niet alleen je toekomst maar ook je afkomst te kennen en omarmen. En dan rest de vraag: waar ben ik thuis?
