S1 Ep 255DWSC LIVE: With Catherine Bohart

E

The Drunk Women are back in Edinburgh and already storming their Fringe run with sell out shows and incredible guests, and what a way to kick things off, as the team welcomes back the wonderful comedian Catherine Bohart!Regular listeners may remember hearing Catherine's first DWSC appearance, which was recorded online, in the dark days of lockdown, so what a joy to be able to see her in the flesh and in front of such a lovely audience.Catherine (luckily) has had more than one experience with crime, and so shares a story in which the perpetrators involved are far from conservative in their criminality. The gang then get their heads around a tale, in which we learn an awful lot about what one can do with the 'blunt' end of an axe, and that picking strawberries can prove to be a deadly pursuit. To round things off, we hear from a member of the audience, who was shook by the misdemeanours of mysterious neighbours ... although Catherine still isn't convinced of the criminal credentials of the story. S1 Ep 254Strawpedo & Sweats with Chloe Petts

E

The gals are back in the studio for this rip roaring edition of Drunk Women Solving Crime, most of the rip, and a good deal of the roar, being supplied by this week's sublime guest, comedian Chloe Petts! Although this was recorded on the sweatiest day on record (probably) in London Town, that didn't stop Chloe from stawpedoing a Smirnoff Ice right before we pressed record ... no mean feat considering we didn't really have a straw.Chloe was then revved-up enough to share with us a biting tale of childhood forensics and a teacher who surely missed their vocation in law enforcement? We then get involved with a story which stinks in more ways than one, before solving a crime which left a listener feeling more than a little short changed. Support them on Patreon at patreon.com/drunkwomensolvingcrime Hosted on Acast. S1 Ep 253DWSC LIVE: With Jordan Gray

E

Hooray! It's another fantastic DWSC residency show, featuring the fabulous comedian, Jordan Gray... AND more than a few mentions of the wonderful audience member from the last episode (featuring Rachel Fairborn), the one and only Bram!If you listen to the episodes in order, then you'll know that Bram provided last week's audience crime, and this week's lovely audience member, and their crime, is just as legendary and also perhaps the best 'sorry I'm late for school' excuse EVER!As always though, our guest kicks things off and it would appear school days trauma is a running theme, as Jordan shares the time she was victim of a childhood sting, which we wouldn't be surprised if it still stung today TBH.This week's main case gives us some insight about what it was like to be the first female detective on the force, and you'll be surprised to hear that she wasn't given an easy ride by her male colleagues I know, weird!Support them on Patreon at patreon.com/drunkwomensolvingcrime Hosted on Acast. S1 Ep 252DWSC LIVE: With Rachel Fairburn (again)

E

This week's episode, recorded at the DWSC London residency, welcomes a return guest in the shape and form of comedian (and one half of All Killa No Filla) Rachel Fairburn! And what a joy it was to see her again, as she shared with us some life incidences, which although may not be classed as crimes, absolutely should be!Such grievances should be reported to someone who sits in the middle of mother and the police and the team worked out just who this very particular keeper of the peace is, you'll be relived to know. The gang also got to the bottom of a 'budget X-Files' case in which a girl seemingly disappears from the face of the earth AND we find out which coma is best, as one kind clearly outranks the other. Then, we hear from a member of the audience, who for reasons which will become clear, must surely be show mascot from now on - Bram, we salute you, never change! S1 Ep 251DWSC LIVE: With Tolly T

E

This episode was recorded at the DWSC London residency, and the place was buzzing to welcome a fellow member of podcast royalty to the stage in the form of Tolly T, who is one third of the chart topping Receipts Podcast!Tolly proved herself more than able in the role of detective and as her opening crime proved, the police are certainly not worthy of benefitting from her skills... at least not until they pay for her car that is!Our gang of crime solvers then analyse the activities of some actual gang leaders, which may or may not have involved some topless shenanigans. We then hear from a member of the audience whose story would quite frankly justify any kind of criminal behaviour, and if anyone knows Tolly...this definitely DIDN'T happen to her. S1 Ep 250DWSC LIVE: With Harriet Kemsley

E

The Drunk Women are back at their London residency, which is a joy in itself and adding to that joy, is the wonderful comedian Harriet Kemsley!Harriet starts off the show with a criminal tale from her childhood, which shows some incredible early kills at the sick burn, as well as offering sartorial advice to any potential criminal out there! The gang then grapple with a crime which was sent in by a listener - feel free to do the same, but perhaps insist on furnishing whoever elects to host that episode with all the facts, especially the basic ones.We finally get a member of the audience up on the mic to earn a bottle of cava by sharing a crime story from their lives, and it would appear that whoever the perpetrator was, they were a shoe-in as suspect. S1 Ep 249Abigoliah Schamaun: It's a London Thing

E

Today's episode of Drunk Women Solving Crime was one of their epic live Zooms attended by the amazing Patreons who support the show.Someone who definitely did their fair share of chatting and crime solving was this week's guest, the brilliant comedian and podcaster Abigoliah Schamaun!Abigoliah started us off with a bunch of stories which are a baptism of fire to anyone who decides to make London their permanent residence - let's just say, it pays to be stoic in England's capital cityThe team then set about solving a crime which was sent in by an eagle eyed listener, which involves the court case of the century (or at least in the top 20).And finally one of the watching patrons contributes a crime which escalates quickly and perhaps could have been prevented a good 2 decades before?see below for information on how you could be at the next zoom record and join in with the chat! S1 Ep 248Frog Stone's Cadaver Caper

E

Our drunken detectives are back in the studio for this episode and joining them to flex some impressive detective muscle is actor and writer, Frog Stone!Frog starts us off with a tale which will make you reminisce about your own once prized childhood possessions, now cast into the void and might also give you soon boombox envy.We then all get to immerse ourselves in a case which has a body of evidence stacked against the perps, before we round things off with a listener crime which pol(e)arised opinion... you'll see what I did there once you listen.  Hosted on Acast. S1 Ep 247DWSC LIVE: With Rosie Jones

E

Another day, another fantastic recording of DWSC from their monthly London residency, and this week the team are joined by none other than the incredible, Rosie Jones! As well as finding out what having an ass that won't quit really means, we also learn about why Rosie believed a certain childhood possession may well have been cursed, AND why Enya is seen a malevolent presence at one of the Drunk Women's family Christmases. The team then cracks a case in which we really do get the whole picture, and then a member of the audience shares a story, which seems to happen to a lot of people's friends of friends...hmmmmmm. S1 Ep 246DWSC LIVE: With Cicely Belle Blain

E

Two, four, six, eight - who do we appreciate? This week's guest of course, who happens to be the fantastic writer and activist, Cicely Belle Blain!Cicely joined the team at their residency in London, in front of a packed-out audience, which also happened to contain her mother, who will only entertain sitting f'row, for maximum effect.Cicely starts things off with a story worthy of its own Netflix special, let's just say, if you enjoyed the Tinder Swindler, this will be RIGHT up your strasse. We then hear the details of a crime which happens to involve the 'worst woman in London' no less ...does she move cities, or manage to get an even worse nick name? Listen to find out!We then hear from one of the lovely audience members, who, with their crime, gives us the opportunity to blame the mother, and as we all know, it doesn't get better than that!  Hosted on Acast. S1 Ep 245Jo Griffin Needs to Move Her Car

E

How on earth can you nearly get arrested while reporting a crime to the police? Well, according to this week's guest, comedian and 'business lady' Jo Griffin, it's all too easy!Jo's opening story will make you yearn for a Bacardi Breezer in Leicester Square (probably), but I would suggest to anyone to pop into the Yates bar there should you get caught short. We then hear about a crime, which involves one of our fantastic listener's ancestors, and it's a story which - if Taylor has anything to do with it - could be turned into a musical, so get ready to sing along. This week's listener crime will have you in detention if you find it funny, no laughing in class! S1 Ep 244Gabby Bryan Packs-Up Her Trunk

E

In today's episode, Hannah once again brings the fold-out table into the lounge for the team to gather around, so they can get to the bottom of a crime, and a bottle or two of wine.Joining them in the merriment, all the way from the U.S of A, is comedian and first aider extraordinaire, Gabby Bryan! Gabby comes with a plethora of stories, ranging from saving lives, to escaping unwitting passage to Eastern Europe, making it clear that you want her, and her friend Alex around in times of crisis. The team then solve a trunk-sized case, which may or may not have connections with the Titanic, although as far as Hannah is concerned, we're never more than six degrees away from something to do with that boat!Lastly, we hear from a listener who although was definitely the victim of a crime, perhaps the sickest thing about it is the burrrrn at the end - just EPIC.  Hosted on Acast. S1 Ep 243Sally O'Leary Leaves the Door WIDE OPEN

E

In today's episode of Drunk Women Solving Crime, the gang gathered around Hannah's flat to sip some vino, eat snacks and solve a crime and were very ably joined by comedian and writer Sally O'Leary! As always the guest had the floor to start us off and so Sally told us about an encounter with an unwitting trespasser, which could have yielded a marriage made in heaven - write in if you recognise the story! The team then set about solving a foot tapping case, which if you weren't privy to a certain pun, may well blow your mind! Finally, this week's listener crime comes to us all the way from the Isle of Wight .. and no, it doesn't involve Hannah...or does it? S1 Ep 242Ria Lina Vs 'Alex'

E

The DWSC team are back in Hannah's flat, sipping some drinks while solving a crime or two, and were delighted to be joined in their endeavours by the hilarious comedian, Ria Lina!Ria came armed with some sharp detective skills and a crime story in which redemption (of sorts) was let in through the back door and then marched straight back out again! The gang then set about solving a crime which perhaps inspired Meatloaf to declare that he 'would do anything for love, but I won't do that' ... to be fair I don't think any of us would do THAT...Lastly, we hear from a listener who is still smarting over an art attack which may (or may not) have been finally solved. S1 Ep 241Robyn Wilder Keeps the Meter Running

E

This episode serves as a time machine to the heady days of December 2022, as the ladies were joined by writer Robyn Wilder on a live zoom to have a bevvy or two and solve some crimes! As this episode is being released in the spring of 2023, we can all look back fondly at the follies of our youth, as the trusty Patreons looked on and joined in on the live chat - see how you can be involved on our next live zooms by visiting Drunk Women Solving Crime | creating Podcasts | PatreonRobyn opened the show with a duo of crimes which only show her helpful nature in a favourable light - after all, as a wise person once said, 'why be a b*stard, if you can be nice?' - or words to that effect. The team on the panel and at home, then set about cracking a case with a cast of thousands, and not one sensible name between them. Finally, one of the eager watchers had their crime solved in real time by the detectives .... or at least they didn't make it worse... well, much worse anyway. S1 Ep 240DWSC LIVE: With Emily Dean

E

This episode screams 'second record of the night' as the riotous atmosphere permeates through the podcast app, you'll feel as giddy as if you were in the audience of this residency show at 21Soho in London!Hannah, Taylor and Catie's high spirits are in part, thanks to this week's fantastic guest, presenter, actor and podcaster, Emily Dean, who starts-off proceedings with sharing her family's criminal background and her own aspirations of being a detective, after spotting a fraudulent attempt and some other freelance investigations in which she follows her nose to get to the bottom of it all.The team (and audience) then gets to the bottom of a case which very much has the 'it's my way or the highway' energy. And finally, the high drama continues with this week's audience crime, the storyteller of which may or may not be known to one of the Drunk Women, and you'll find out what a 'cagoule' is, if you didn't know already (which you almost definitely did). S1 Ep 238Posey Mehta & The Tottenham Outrage

E

What happens on a live zoom call clearly doesn't stay on a live zoom call when the Drunk Women are involved, exhibit A, ladies and gentlemen...The team decided to invite their closest friends - or Patreons as they are otherwise known - to watch the mayhem unfold with this week's wonderful guest, comedian and writer, Posey Mehta!Fun fact, Taylor, Hannah and Catie shared a dressing room with Posey at last year's Edinburgh Fringe and until this zoom call had NEVER seen her when she wasn't dressed as a gorilla, including full face make-up, and it would appear that any woman who goes out in public, dressed as a gorilla is just asking to be sexually harassed, as you'll hear.We then get fully involved in a crime caper, which although serious in nature, has farcical over AND undertones, the likes of which would never be seen in present day Tottenham* - or ANYWHERE for that matter. And finally, one of the Patreons got to have their crime 'solved' in real time, to find out how you can do the same, go to www.patreon.com/drunkwomensolvingcrime to see how you can attend the next live zoom on May 3rd!*An area in North London, which has been 'up and coming' for the past 25 years. S1 Ep 237DWSC LIVE: With Daisy Earl

E

Back at their London residency , the Drunk Women welcome brilliant comedian Daisy Earl to the force, who shared a story in which one could argue 3 perps played a part... the criminal themselves, the police and Daisy's own mum... we'll let you be the judge, but in our opinion NO ONE should be chip shamed!Once Daisy recounted her ordeal to the baying crowd, the gals then knuckle down to a crime with real star quality - AND some epic A-Lister gossip courtesy of our very own Taylor -although for the full story, you really had to be there, so come to a live show to really get your teeth into things, details below.Plus, as always we hear from a lovely listener, and if this lady actually thought her story was 'too boring' to tell, I dread to think what she would deem as an exciting night out!Why not support the Drunk Women on Patreon, where you'll get access to live zoom records, shout outs, ad free content and the occasional extra thing thrown-in! E

This episode was recorded in the beautiful city of Belfast, as the team finally fulfilled their dream to take the show over to Ireland as part of The Out to Lunch Festival. It turns out the Irish make excellent detectives, and this week's guest, TV writer and creator of Derry Girls, Lisa McGee showed early signs of crime solving prowess - and it would appear to run in the family, as you'll hear. After hearing Lisa's amazing story, the team then venture into a case involving perhaps the vainest man in 1800s Norfolk, which is no mean feat, as soap had yet to be invented (citation needed). We then round things off with an astounding story from a member of the audience, which begs the question if sandwiches should be kept in a safe? Why not support the Drunk Women on Patreon, where you'll get access to live zoom records, shout outs, ad free content and the occasional extra thing thrown-in! E

The gang are back on stage in London for their first residency of 2023 in their brand new home of 21Soho!And what a night to remember it was, although if you're this week's guest detective Heidi Regan, you'll probably have to listen back to this to confirm you were there.Heidi started off proceedings by recounting the times her less than sharp powers of recall have aided and abetted criminal activity, almost always to the detriment of those who happen to be out with her.The team, along with the packed-out audience then crack a historical case, which features some names regular listeners will be very familiar with. Finally, we hear from a member of the audience who tells the kind of inflated story which could give you nightmares if you listen before bed... you have been warned. Why not support the Drunk Women on Patreon, where you'll get access to live zoom records, shout outs, ad free content and the occasional extra thing thrown-in! S1 Ep 227Katie Pritchard's Extensive Knowledge

E

In today's fine episode of DWSC, comedian Katie Pritchard donned her authentic detective's jacket to help us get to the bottom of a true crime, but not before she revealed her own tale of criminal woe, which could have been the time her family was burgled, OR that the fridge freezer was IN HER BEDROOM - you decide. After a hefty discussion on the pros and cons of having white electrical goods in the room where you sleep, the team then solve a historical crime that takes us into the 'spirals of evil' which terrorised the people of Sheffield and that isn't easy to do!We then hear from a listener who may have the perpetrator of their crime living under the same roof... can the drunk detectives get to the bottom of that one? S1 Ep 223DWSC LIVE: With Lauren Pattison

E

What a cracking start to 2023, as the Drunk Women unleash part two of their incredible sold-out show in Leeds, when they were joined by the brilliant comedian, Lauren Pattison.Lauren starts-off by telling us about the time the denial of a criminal act could possibly have been the crime itself, before going on to help the rest of the team uncover a story- which although notorious- is much misunderstood. although we do learn that prisons have chefs, oh la la.Finally, we hear an epic tale from a member of the audience, which will make you wish you had a dentist as a friend, if you don't already that is. S1 Ep 222DWSC LIVE: With Eme Essien

E

The Drunk Women are casting their minds back to the fantastic double bill of shows they did in Leeds back in October 2022 and now invite you on that trip down memory lane too.Their first amazing guest was comedian Eme Essien, who opens the show with a story which carries some healthy lessons in fraud prevention, she learnt them for us, on more than one occasion. The team then get involved in a howling crime case which probably couldn't happen in modern day Norwich and hear from a member of the audience, who would rather DIE than spill one drop of wine - we always find our tribe. We're back in Liverpool for the second show of a lively double bill, and joining Catie, Taylor and Hannah on the stage after an adventurous interval is the incredible, comedian Harriet Dyer!As well as having one of the very best plans for vengeance you would have EVER heard, Harriet also entertains us with a crime which isn't dissimilar to common nightmare, but at least she can laugh at it now!The gang then get to grips with crime involving an unscrupulous landlord, hard to believe such a thing exists, I know! Then, lastly we hear from a member of the audience who may be familiar to some, although this time her story doesn't take place in Centre Parcs... S1 Ep 219DWSC LIVE: With Nina Gilligan

E

Now that Men's Month is over for another year, Taylor, Hannah and Catie are proud to present the fruits of their fantastic tour of live shows around the UK, first-up we head to Liverpool, a city where the inhabitants know how to have a good time!Completing the team of liver birds for this incredible show is the hilarious comedian, Nina Gilligan.Nina is no stranger to law enforcement, even if she can be rather overzealous in her peacekeeping efforts, as strangers and family alike quickly learn. We then look into a crime committed against a star of the silver screen, although it's not like they were able to tell anyone about it. And finally, we get to hear from TWO members of the audience with crimes that need solving, although we're not sure the gang managed to *help*, they surely didn't make it worse.Ps- The boat trip enjoyed by Taylor on the Mersey WAS a cruise, producer Amanda has the ticket stub to prove it! #justicefortaylorAND they will be recording LIVE on Zoom for their Patreons on December 15th at 8pm, for access you can join them on.patreon.com/drunkwomensolvingcrime Hosted on Acast. S1 Ep 218MEN'S MONTH: Ed Byrne

E

It's been another epic DWSC Men's Month, not only because we had five, count them FIVE men grace the show this year, but also because we welcomed some incredible guys and this week's incredible guy is kung-fu king and comedian Ed Byrne!Ed starts us off with some tales of criminal activity that have blighted his life, although it would also appear that he could set-up shop as a swag-bag supplier as a side hustle. The team then head to Tring to solve this week's case - and as we soon learn, nothing good ever happens in Tring! We then hear from a listener who gets some tough love from the team... which is also the name of your sex tape. S1 Ep 217MEN'S MONTH: With Mikey Day

E

The gang are cracking-on with Men's Month and it's time to go stateside, as this week's guest is none-other than star of 'Saturday Night Live' and 'Is it Cake?'...it's Mikey Day!Mikey proved to be an invaluable member of the force with the kind of detective skills worthy of NYPD, although his night spent in the slammer as a youth might mean his application is null and void - you'll have to listen to find out why Mikey did time inside and why he kept a Spiderman outfit in his car.The team then un-pick a right royal farce worthy of its own Netflix special, with a cast of players from just about every spectrum of life that you can imagine. We finally hear from a listener, who may be the victim or perpetrator of criminal activity, either way they are certainly no hero in a half shell. S1 Ep 216MEN'S MONTH: With Jamie Morton

E

Men's Month 2022 marches on and this episode saw podcast royalty being welcomed to the force, when Jamie Morton from the world-wide smash hit show 'My Dad Wrote a Porno' donned his detective hat and agreed to solve some true crime with us.Jamie kicked-off proceedings with a story from his youth which saw a house-hold name come to his rescue, in fact without this sporting legend, Jamie might not have been here to tell this tale at all!The team then digs deep into a case which brings up some interesting questions of logistics in the afterlife and how long it would take before one was just bored of being dead. And all of this also throws-up a fantastic story of what happened when Jamie met Liz Truss - who was at some point in her 44-day stint as British PM when this episode was recorded - the meeting goes pretty much as you would imagine. We then round it all off with a delightful listener crime which will make you want to not only keep your toothbrush in a cupboard, but also under lock and key.As you can hear, the team had tremendous fun recording this episode, so much fun that there was a fun induced 'incident' which had to be edited out, we did however decide to share it on our Patreon, so if your in any way curious, you can sign up for here:  patreon.com/drunkwomensolvingcrime Hosted on Acast. E

The Men's Month parade continues, as Taylor, Catie and Hannah welcome 'friend of the pod' comedian Nick Helm to the force!Nick starts proceedings by sharing the time he encountered a criminal act and now as a result at least knows what he will say in such circumstances...and more importantly what pitch the word will come out.The team then get their hands dirty with a story which you may want to not accompany with a chocolate cake, in fact it's changed Nick forever, we really should check on him. Then, finally we hear from a listener, who has been rabbiting on about a case for years, let's hope the gang can finally solve it!And you can also support them on Patreon where you'll find ad free episodes, prior access to some records, invites to live zooms and shout outs! patreon.com/drunkwomensolvingcrime Hosted on Acast. S1 Ep 214MEN'S MONTH: With Bilal Zafar

E

It's that time again, yes, it's the Drunk Women Solving Crime MEN'S MONTH!And November 2022 has FIVE Wednesdays, so we have FIVE, yes count them, FIVE men to add to the DWSC force, and kicking things off for this epic season is the Brillant comic Bilal Zafar! We recorded with Bilal waaaaay back in the heady days of the Edinburgh Fringe, where he was also performing is incredible show 'Care'.Bilal started things off with a story of childhood theft, which may or may not have put his own parents in the frame, and then joined the rest of the crew in solving a crime which has been a plot device in a legendary comedy film and is also a lesson in how to do your crimeing 'right'.As always, we finish the show by hearing from a member of the audience, this one however got the memo wrong and CONFESSED to a crime she perpetrated that day...we'll let it slide this once, but guys, it's NOT what we asked ...she still got the prosecco though - CHEERS!And you can also support them on Patreon where you'll find ad free episodes, prior access to some records, invites to live zooms and shout outs! patreon.com/drunkwomensolvingcrime Hosted on Acast. S1 Ep 213Fanny Sidney & The Crime of Grace

E

Oh la la, the Drunk Women have gone to Paris! Well, they SAW some of Paris from the back of the zoom of this week's fantastic guest, the star of ' Call My Agent', actor, Fanny Sidney! Although this was recorded remotely, the team still got to do this in front of an audience, as they decided to invite their lovely Patreons along for the ride too, with the added treat of the gorgeous Parisian backdrop also providing a contrast to the criminal activity the team discussed. Fanny started-off proceedings with a tale of a scammer who sure knew how to play the long game before the gang discussed a notorious cold case which happened to inspire none-other than Margret Atwood to write a book about it.And, as we were joined by a live audience, it was only right that we should hear from one of them at the end with their own true crime story, and it turns-out the Isle of Wight is a hotbed of criminal pursuits. Hannah was delighted! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

S1 Ep 211Jenny Collier: One Shady Lady

E

Nestled safely in their own homes after their hectic sell out run in Edinburgh, the Drunk Women welcome comedian Jenny Collier to the Zoom call, but they are not alone, because watching them - also nestled at home - is an audience of heroic Patreons, who were invited to see just how the sausage is made. And what a sausage it was, as we got to hear about the time Jenny was peeped at by a perp who only droned on at her when confronted. And then, the gang pick through a historical cold case set in what's said to be Britain's oldest pub - spoiler alert, this place's Airbnb score would be lower than a snake's belly - NO STARS!And finally, we hear from a member of our at home audience who recounts a crime that still needs solving, despite it happening during infant school! And you can also support them on Patreon where you'll find ad free episodes, prior access to some records, invites to live zooms and shout outs! patreon.com/drunkwomensolvingcrime Hosted on Acast. S1 Ep 210DWSC LIVE: With Rosie Holt

E

This week's episode is the final show recorded at the team's sell-out run at the Edinburgh Fringe 2022, and they went out with a bang as their guest was the wonderful comedian, Rosie Holt! You would have seen Rosie online with her brilliant character parodying a right-wing mouthpiece, well on this show she came along as her delightful self and told us about *some* of the times she's been scammed ... seriously, it's a miracle she's got ANY money left at all.The gang then crack a case of royal proportions, which also happens to be fitting with their location at the time of record and we then hear from a member of the audience who could compare scam notes with Rosie, although they probably shouldn't go into business together.Taylor, Hannah, Catie (and producer Amanda) would like to thank everyone who came to see them at this year's fringe and made it such a special time, they'll be back in Edinburgh in 2023, but in the meantime, you can catch them on tour, details below,And you can also support them on Patreon where you'll find ad free episodes, prior access to some records, invites to live zooms and shout outs! patreon.com/drunkwomensolvingcrime Hosted on Acast. S1 Ep 209DWSC LIVE: With Rachel Harper

E

The Drunk Women are still in Edinburgh, if only in podcast form as the penultimate show from their sell-out Edinburgh run hits the airwaves and joining them in this endeavour is actor comedian and writer Rachel Harper!Rachel starts us off with a story that will have you swiping left at both the guys involved. We then hear about a crime from history which shows that blood is definitely thicker than water...or milk in this case, but that you can always trust the women of the family to save the day!We round things off nicely with a crime from a member of the audience, which is possibly a modern Cinderella story, or probably about as far away from a fairy-tale as you can get. S1 Ep 208DWSC LIVE: With Charlie George

E

This week's episode is another brilliant show courtesy of the gang's sell-out run at the Edinburgh Fringe and helping them along with the mayhem is guest Charlie George (no relation to Hannah).Charlie opens the show with a heart-breaking story of a summer's fun lost at the hands of a callous conman - it's a good thing she's such a good comedian and can make us all laugh about her tale of woe!The group then put their heads together to solve a cold case which upholds everything your mother told you about talking to strangers. We are then treated to not one, not two, but THREE crimes from the audience, proving that it's good things that come in threes after all! S1 Ep 207DWSC LIVE: With Rachel Fairburn

E

As we continue to share the fun of this year's Edinburgh run with you all, it's time to bring-out the true crime big guns, as Taylor, Hannah & Catie welcomes one of the best-known names of the genre, she's one half of hit podcast 'All Killa, No Filla', Rachel Fairburn!Yes, there were audible gasps from the crowd as Rachel was introduced to the stage, which is no surprise, as not only does she dominate the true crime charts but is also one of the best-known names on the comedy circuit and not only can she talk about and solve true crime, but she also has a tale or three of her own to bring to the table, which starts things off very nicelyWe then all find out that one of Scotland's biggest ne'er-do-wells was called Gregor McGregor.... which probably means his parents either didn't like him, or had a total lack of imagination. We then finish the show-off with an epic story from an audience member which will leave you with a hankering for a massive burrito... Bon appetite! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

S1 Ep 206DWSC LIVE: With Abi Clarke

E

In this week's episode, the packed Edinburgh Fringe audience were treated to the presence of hilarious comedian, YouTuber and crime fighter, Abi Clarke! It's very clear in the crime Abi shares at the start of the show, that she was born to do this podcast, and has probably invented a new crime-fighting character, it's so handy that she's already got the costume! The group then delves into a case which could be a truly victimless crime, at the very least one which produced its own merchandise and I'll bet my bottom dollar, that you'll love the perp in the end...And finally, we hear from a member of the audience, who gives us an insight into being both the victim and perp of criminal activity ... and let's just say, that being on the wrong side of the law NEVER pays, so don't do it kids!Don't forget, you can support Drunk Women Solving Crime on Patreon and have access to early announcements, extra content, zoom records, ad free episodes, shout outs AND MORE - www.patreon.com/drunkwomensolvingcrime Hosted on Acast.
