This week on the Driven Chat Podcast, John Marcar and Amy Shore are joined by script editor and author Richard Porter.Richard Porter is perhaps most famously known as the scriptwriter for Clarkson, Hammond and May for BBC Top Gear and Amazon's The Grand Tour. Last week our favourite automotive venue celebrated its 3rd Birthday. Caffeine & Machine has been an integral part of the global motoring scene since 2015, however in 2018, in a small village in the middle of England, it became a physical presence. On October 27th 2018, Caffeine & Machine (the location) was born, and our very own John Marcar was there from the beginning, offering support to his two new friends, Phil & Dan on the opening weekend. Three years on, John sits down with the two business owners to talk about the highs and lows of the brand since opening its doors. The evolvement, the adaptations, the exhilaration and the nightmares... in this chat, we work through it all. Regardless of whether or not you have been able to visit the venue in person, you, as a regular listener, will have experienced the brand in one shape or form through our weekly podcasts and radio shows. It's our most regular recording venue that we are absolutely honoured to be a small part of most Tuesday afternoons. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
