Are you not sure if you want to be a Year-Round Homeschooler or if you should take a Summer Break?
Here's a few things to consider to help you decide:
-
Give yourself permission to change it up year by year.
-
It depends on yourself & your kids & your plans for the summer. If you have a vacation planned or summer camps planned & you need a break, then take a break. If you need to fill your summer with activities, then make summer school a fun school filled with games, field trips & experiences.
-
You can do both. Half the summer as school & the other half as a break. & you can break it up however it fits into your schedule
-
Downshift your school to continue the habit so that starting up again in the fall isn't such a challenge
