Power utility, Eskom will be implementing stage 6 loadshedding from 12:00 until further notice. Eskom says this is due to a high number of breakdowns since midnight. Meanwhile , Eskom had warned South Africans to brace themselves for prolonged load shedding as the power utility is implementing major capital projects and repairs. According to Eskom this work carries significant risk and will serve to further increase the implementation of load shedding. Sakina Kamwendo spoke to Eskom spokesperson Sikonathi Mantshantsha and Lungile Mashele, an independent energy economist
