Draft Sharks - Fantasy Football Podcast

We're talking about Bills WR Stefon Diggs once again on Episode 3 in our "What I Got Wrong" series. This time Mike Tagliere of Fantasy Pros joins us to try to talk about betting on talent. We're also taking another shot at the season perhaps we should have foreseen for Chargers WR Keenan Allen. But before we get to those guys, Mike leads us into tackling the Bengals' passing game. Green the kind of "miss" that we shouldn't regret in our fantasy football drafts?Check out Episode 1 with JJ Zachariason and Episode 2 with Mike Clay.  DRAFT SHARKS - YOUR UNFAIR ADVANTAGEAward-winning fantasy football rankings, projections and draft tools. We're looking at Stefon Diggs and Josh Allen, the resurgence of Aaron Rodgers and whether it was actually wrong to like Kenyan Drake. We'll also discuss D.K. Metcalf, Will Fuller, T.Y. Hilton, Tyler Higbee and Chris Herndon ... as well as some general fantasy football draft strategy along the way.Check out Episode 1 in the series, our chat with JJ Zachariason.  DRAFT SHARKS - YOUR UNFAIR ADVANTAGEAward-winning fantasy football rankings, projections and draft tools. One thing we know as we put together our projections each year is that we'll get some things wrong. Some of those missed calls can teach us lessons that will help us draft better in 2021 and beyond. So we're inviting some top-shelf guests to run through some of this season's biggest misses and see what we can learn. In this 1st episode, JJ Zachariason -- editor-in-chief at FanDuel and numberFire and host of The Late-Round Podcast -- joins us to talk Stefon Diggs, Keenan Allen and, of course, QBs.  DRAFT SHARKS - YOUR UNFAIR ADVANTAGEAward-winning fantasy football rankings, projections and draft tools. You're not going to surprise anyone with lineups featuring Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and/or Tyreek Hill this week. Even Baker Mayfield and Jarvis Landry might prove chalky on the other side of this week's highest over/under. But we might still be able to unearth some more-hidden gems from that matchup. There's another game we're all mostly fading this week ... plus a couple more that might be difficult to read (or agree on).Let's get to the picks:QB ... 6:02RB ... 10:17WR ... 18:41TE ... 26:38Defense ... 30:15Check out our full rankings for the Wild Card round. Derrick Henry let a lot of FFPC Playoff Challenge teams down last weekend. But did he kill your chances of winning? Derrick Henry and Alvin Kamara hit Wild Card weekend as the only true stud RBs on the schedule ... but does that make "must" plays out of both -- or neither? Expensive QBs look attractive on both DraftKings and FanDuel, but we also have some lower-prices favorites. The top value at RB just might be a player who has spent several weeks on the injury report. And WR looks loaded despite just a 6-game pool.Let's get to the picks:QB ... 9:21RB ... 15:13WR ... 23:09TE ... 29:28Flex ... 34:11Defense ... 36:54Check out our full rankings for the Wild Card round. Derrick Henry and Alvin Kamara run toward Sunday with huge upside ... and huge salaries. Can we find a way to fit both into our lineups, though? It'll take mining for values at other positions, but we have some options at WR and TE -- as well as RB for that flex spot. Plus, you'll find multiple defenses at nice prices going up against backup QBs. This should be a fun slate to close out the regular season. Here's the rundown:QB ... 3:30RB ... 7:26WR ... 12:24TE ... 16:16Flex ... 20:00Defense ... 21:49Check out Kevin's favorite picks for cash games and Tyler's top plays for GPPs. Derrick Henry rules the Week 17 talk for a rematch with the Texans defense that afforded him 212 yards and a pair of TDs in their 1st meeting. But how should we build around his big salary? And just how many options should we consider from that Titans-Texans matchup that carries the week's highest over/under? Outside that matchup: Jared loves the Vikings-Lions game, while Matt thinks there's sneaky upside to Cowboys-Giants (but he might be the only one). Who gets Tyler's Week 17 focus?Let's get to the rundown:QB ... 3:00RB ... 6:45WR ... 12:57TE ... 20:47Flex ... 25:22Defense ... 26:58Check out all of Jared's cash-game picks and Tyler's tourney favorites. Pay up for Kyler Murray or Lamar Jackson, or pay down for Jalen Hurts? That's the 1st question we're tackling this week. RB just might present a small pool of chalky options for Week 15. The Chiefs-Saints matchup looks like the centerpiece of this slate, but Michael Thomas' ankle injury complicates things a bit. We're still playing plenty of guys from that game ... but there's at least 1 player we don't agree on anymore. Colts-Texans presents options as well. How can an underpriced QB appear near the top of the salary board? Patrick Mahomes just might fit that category this week. But he's far from the only option. The $7K range presents a wealth of targets. And that doesn't even include the return of Justin Herbert. The Saints surprised fantasy players everywhere with news that shouldn't have been a surprise. Taysom Hill will step in for the injured Drew Brees, a move that matches the contract they gave him in the offseason. His TE designation on FanDuel makes it an even bigger move. Hill becomes basically impossible to not use. Even a bad game for him at QB can rank among the top scores at TE. We still have 8 other slots to fill, though, and the $4500 salary leaves extra spending room. Panthers RB Christian McCaffrey is back. But can we play him in the $9K range in his 1st game back? Dalvin Cook looks like a starting point at RB, and we have another guy in the $6K range who should join him in basic lineup builds. Week 8 finds Michael Thomas, Joe Mixon and Aaron Jones likely still out, plus a number of other situations to monitor. We don't have the usual expensive, top-shelf studs available at RB this week, so there's room to spend that money elsewhere. We've got high-dollar considerations at WR and TE ... plus a potential stud RB who might less of a sure thing than we're used to at the position. QB decisions start in the $5K range this week, and we've got a minimum-priced pass-catcher who either broke through in Week 5 or is about to fool us big time. Here's the rundown:QB ... 3:18RB ... 9:14WR ... 15:42TE ... 20:36Flex ... 23:25Defense ... 24:23Check out all of Jared's cash-game picks and Tyler's tourney favorites. We'll have to watch the Falcons-Vikings game to make sure it happens this week. But there seem to be plenty of QBs worth playing ahead of Matt Ryan even his game does forward. We also have huge Week 5 performances from Chase Claypool and Travis Fulgham to assess, and the question of what to do with Clyde Edwards-Helaire, Marvin Jones and the Cowboys pass-catchers, after Dak Prescott's injury. Here's the rundown:Chicago Bears at Carolina Panthers ... 00:54Detroit Lions at Jacksonville Jaguars ... 3:13Cleveland Browns at Pittsburgh Steelers ... 9:13Denver Broncos at New England Patriots ... 17:54Houston Texans at Tennessee Titans ... 21:01Washington Football Team at New York Giants ... 23:32Cincinnati Bengals at Indianapolis Colts ... 30:33Atlanta Falcons at Minnesota Vikings ... 34:18Baltimore Ravens at Philadelphia Eagles ... 39:58New York Jets at Miami Dolphins ... 48:11Green Bay Packers at Tampa Bay Buccaneers ... 52:59Los Angeles Rams at San Francisco 49ers ... 58:29Kansas City Chiefs at Buffalo Bills ... 1:03:33Arizona Cardinals at Dallas Cowboys ... 1:06:31Check our full Week 6 rankings, and stay up to date on injuries and news via Shark Bites.  DRAFT SHARKS - YOUR UNFAIR ADVANTAGEAward-winning fantasy football rankings, projections and draft tools.
