Vasubandhu was a 4th–5th century Indian Buddhist monk, philosopher, and co-founder of the Yogācāra school of Mahayana Buddhism.
Renowned for his works on Abhidharma, he developed key philosophical concepts such as "consciousness-only" (vijñaptimātra) and authored texts on Buddhist metaphysics, logic, and meditation.
