If you have a positive stress test, you’ll likely be led to the catheter lab for a coronary angiogram. If plaque is detected, you’ll be recommended to have a coronary stent. This progression—from stress test to cardiac catheterization to stent—is tragically a standard (yet often unnecessary) triad of cardiology procedures.
