Lipoprotein(a) or Lp(a) has an LDL-like particle as well as Apoa1, the component which makes Lp(a) sticky. Lp(a) is also hereditary; it may run in the whole family, making Lp(a) testing important. And for people with high Lp(a), they can manage the condition by controlling other "classical" cardiovascular risk factors.
