EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy is a recognized and effective treatment for postpartum PTSD, particularly when related to a traumatic birth experience. EMDR helps individuals process traumatic memories and reduce the associated distress, allowing for a more adaptive way of remembering the event.
