THIS Is Why You Should STOP Eating Sugar - by Dr. Berg
In this podcast, we’re going to take a look at some of the amazing health benefits you’ll experience if you eliminate sugar from your diet for two weeks. The following side effects can occur in as little as two weeks without sugar: •Slimmer face (less round/puffy) •Less puffy eyelids •Reduced belly fat •No more carb cravings •Decreased hunger/more satisfaction after meals •Improved mood •Improved attention and focus (mental clarity) •No more fluid retention •Decreased pain and inflammation •Decreased bloating and abdominal pain •Improved sleep quality •More relaxation/decreased adrenal stress •Improved skin When avoiding sugar, you also need to avoid refined starches, which can be even worse than sugar! Refined starches go through a refining process known as hydrolysis, which breaks the starches down. This process causes a more significant effect on your blood sugar than sugar itself. For example, maltodextrin has a glycemic index between 110 and 136, while sugar and glucose have a glycemic index of 65 and 100, respectively. Maltodextrin is found in countless food products, including certain health food products. If maltodextrin is added to a food product at less than .5 grams per serving size, manufacturers can claim that the product does not contain carbohydrates. If the manufacturer uses a hydrolyzation process, they can also claim that the product contains zero grams of sugar! This means that many people are unknowingly consuming hidden sugars. While dietary sugar consumption is going down, the percentage of ultra-processed food consumption is on the rise. The good news is that there are healthy alternatives that are tasty too! Just be sure to look closely at the labels on the products you buy to avoid consuming excess sugar. DATA: https://www.thelancet.com/journals/la... https://www.frontiersin.org/articles/... Shocking Truth: Dr. Berg's 20-Year Cereal Obsession!
SUBSCRIBE TO MY NEWSLETTER HERE: https://bit.ly/4aI2z2g Let’s talk about what would happen if you added cereal to your breakfast every morning. Years of consuming cereal can have serious impacts on your health. Cereal contains hidden sugar, starch, and carbohydrates. Certain starches and carbohydrates can affect your blood sugar levels even more than sugar can. Many people think cereal is healthy because it contains whole grains. However, sugar, combined with protein in whole grains, can lead to a myriad of health concerns. Whole grains also contain gluten, and many people have either an allergy or intolerance to it. Phytic acid in whole grains blocks mineral absorption. The synthetic vitamins in cereal are also completely different from vitamins in nature. Not to mention that the sugar in the cereal will nullify the effects of the synthetic vitamins. Many types of cereal contain ingredients that are GMO, as well as artificial colorings and preservatives. Cereal is ultra-processed junk food. Here are the top issues that can arise if you consume cereal for breakfast every day for just a month: • Prediabetes • Exhaustion • Morning grogginess • Irritability • Depression • Anxiety • Arthritis • Brain fog • Weight gain • Fatty liver

The 30-Day Sugar Detox
SUBSCRIBE TO MY NEWSLETTER HERE: https://bit.ly/3NOo9bw What will happen if you cut sugar out of your diet for thirty days? Let’s talk about it. Metabolic flexibility is a term used to describe how smoothly and efficiently your cells can adapt to utilize and burn fuel like fat, ketones, or glucose. When you’re metabolically inflexible, this transition is very dysfunctional. Your ability to burn fat in a fasting state will be very difficult. If you can’t lose weight when fasting or exercising, this could be why. Metabolic inflexibility can lead to diabetes, obesity, loss of muscle protein, and chronic illnesses. It can also cause irritability, fatigue, anxiety, and hunger. When you try to fast, you won’t feel very good, and you’ll miss out on certain benefits if you’re not metabolically flexible. Insulin resistance is at the heart of this problem. Insulin controls whether you burn fat or not. If someone is metabolically inflexible, they have insulin resistance. Insulin tells the body not to burn fat and to store fat instead. On the flip side, metabolic flexibility is really insulin sensitivity, and there are ways to make the body more metabolically flexible or insulin sensitive. When you become more metabolically flexible, you’ll be able to fast for longer without hunger or cravings, burn fat, and burn sugar more efficiently. How to transition your body into a state of metabolic flexibility and insulin sensitivity: 1. Eat less frequently 2. Eat fewer carbohydrates 3. Eat sufficient amounts of fat, but not excessive amounts of fat 4. Try exercise snacking (do short bouts of exercise throughout the day) If you do these things for thirty days, it could have a significant positive impact on improving your metabolic flexibility and your overall health. The Best Diet & Exercise for Stubborn Belly Fat
SUBSCRIBE TO MY NEWSLETTER HERE: https://bit.ly/3H7eFo6 Today, I’m going to cover the best ways to get rid of belly fat, central fat, or mid-section fat. Belly fat or visceral fat is fat that is outside of the fat cells—it’s in the organs, especially the liver. If you have belly fat, you have a fatty liver. Insulin resistance is what leads to fat on the liver to begin with. Insulin is a fat-storing hormone, and it prevents weight loss. Cortisol is another hormone that can make it difficult to lose weight. How to get rid of stubborn belly fat fast: 1. Reduce stress and support sleep by doing aerobic exercise (long walks or physical work). Burn fat by doing high-intensity interval training without overtraining (two to three times a week). 2. Get your body into ketosis. Reduce the amount of carbohydrates and sugar in your diet. 3. Don’t consume excess dietary fat, but don’t go on a low-fat diet either. Don’t consume less than 75 grams of fat per day. 4. Support your liver. Consume apple cider vinegar (1 tbsp. apple cider vinegar mixed into 12 oz. of water). Take milk thistle and berberine. 5. Do OMAD (one meal a day). Intermittent fasting is the most important thing for fast weight loss and to support a healthy body. Consume red meat several times a week when you do consume meals. 6. Stay aware of what works and what doesn’t. Evaluate your environment, create healthy habits, and stay consistent. What to Eat to Clean Out Your Arteries—Dr. Berg Explains
In this podcast, we’re going to talk about what to eat to support the health of your arteries. First, let’s take a look at the foods and substances that can lead to heart disease in the first place. Heart problems begin in the endothelial layer of your arteries—the permeable membrane that lines your vascular system and lymphatic system. Inflammation is induced when the endothelial layer of your arteries is exposed to the following: •Stress •Sugar •Refined carbohydrates •Seed oils (canola, soy, corn) •Chronic alcohol use •Chronic smoking habits The Coronary Artery Calcification Test (CAC test) and the Heart Rate Variability test are excellent predictors of mortality by assessing damage in your cardiovascular system. You can also measure the small-dense particle size of LDL, test your homocysteine levels, and test for the MTHFR gene. Fortunately, there are foods that can help clean out your arteries and undo cardiovascular damage. Here are nine foods that can unclog and support the health of your arteries: 1. Omega-3 from salmon, sardines, other fatty fish, and cod liver 2. Extra virgin olive oil 3. Dark leafy greens 4. Authentic parmesan cheese (Parmigiano) 5. Nutritional yeast (non-fortified) 6. Raw sauerkraut 7. Almonds 8. Liver 9. Grass-fed red meat DATA: https://www.nytimes.com/2019/09/30/he...

7 Foods that RUIN Your Liver - Dr. Berg Explains
SUBSCRIBE TO MY NEWSLETTER HERE: https://bit.ly/420IyAh Today, I’m going to cover the top foods that can destroy your liver. Unfortunately, these foods are very common, especially in restaurants. There are three main problems that occur in the liver: inflammation, fatty liver disease, and scar tissue. Scar tissue in the liver can lead to cirrhosis. While alcohol is a big culprit when it comes to liver issues, many people are facing a condition called non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. Even young kids are being affected by this condition. The good news is that the liver can take a beating and regenerate. But, there is a point of limitation. The worst foods for your liver: 1. Fried foods 2. Canned meat products 3. TV dinners 4. Nachos 5. Canned tomato soup 6. Foods with high fructose corn syrup 7. Foods that contain aflatoxins The best foods to support the liver: • Cruciferous vegetables • High-quality, grass-fed protein • Eggs • Cod liver or cod liver oil • Fatty fish

How to Use Your Feet to Diagnose Liver Problems—Dr. Berg Explains
In this podcast, we’re going to take a look at some of the different foot symptoms you may be experiencing and connect them to the health of your liver. One common sign of liver problems is red and brown spots on the lower leg. These spots are caused by poor circulation and are often seen in people who have diabetes or cirrhosis of the liver. When the liver isn't functioning properly, you may experience bruising and discoloration. You may also notice that the lower leg is swollen and shiny and no longer grows hair. Pitting edema may accompany these symptoms. The good news about liver problems is that the liver is one of the only organs that can completely regenerate itself! Spider veins, whether in the lower leg and foot or anywhere else on the body, signify that the liver can no longer regulate estrogen. Excess estrogen can cause a fatty liver and problems with your bile ducts, which can lead to gallstones. Dry, cracked heels or generally dry feet are symptoms of an omega-3 deficiency. The liver makes bile, which helps you break down and absorb fat-soluble vitamins and nutrients. If you have liver damage, it will be difficult to absorb omega-3 fatty acids. Rarely, dry, cracked heels may be related to a B3 deficiency. Other foot-related symptoms that typically signify liver damage include: •Itchy feet •Fungal infections •Inflammatory conditions like arthritis and plantar fasciitis •Foot odor •Hot/cold feet •Toenail fungus •Fungus between toes DATA: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/arti... https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/arti... https://journals.lww.com/jewds/fullte... https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/f...

The Top SUPERFOODS for the Kidneys—Explained by Dr. Berg
In this podcast, we’re going to talk about the best and worst foods when dealing with a kidney problem. The kidneys are composed of complex filters known as nephrons. A proper diet is crucial to support these nephrons. If your nephrons are damaged, you may end up with a build-up of phosphorus, potassium, and sodium. It is essential to avoid junk food and minimize eating out. One of the leading causes of kidney damage is diabetes, which comes from high blood sugar. Avoid sugar and compounds that act like sugar in the body, like refined starches. Drugs, alcohol, certain medications, smoking, and ultra-processed foods all destroy the kidneys. Seed oils like corn oil, soy oil, cottonseed oil, and canola oil contribute to inflammation and damage to the kidneys as well. Here are eight superfoods to include in your diet if you’re dealing with kidney damage: 1. Low phosphorus protein (sardines, salmon, cod, and sea bass) 2. Spirulina 3. Fermented foods (sauerkraut, kimchi, pickles) 4. Avocado 5. Extra virgin olive oil 6. Cottage cheese or goat cheese 7. Vitamin D 8. Baja Gold sea salt If you have kidney damage, you’ll want to avoid foods that are high in oxalates, lectins, and tannins. Avoid things like nuts, spinach, meats high in phosphorus, eggplant, potatoes, beans, and grains. Cat scans to examine damage to the kidney can also be very damaging. Opt for an ultrasound or MRI to assess kidney damage if possible. If you have kidney disease or kidney problems, you can still consume vegetables. The following vegetables are safe options for people with kidney issues: •Asparagus •Celery •Avocado •Cucumber •Garlic •Cabbage •Cauliflower •Mushrooms •Lettuce DATA: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/arti... Is It Safe to Take 10,000 IU of Vitamin D3? Dr. Berg Explains
Today, we’re going to take a look at vitamin D. Every cell and tissue in your body has receptors for vitamin D. However, there is still no medical consensus on what vitamin D deficiency is. Many people are deficient in vitamin D. Vitamin D deficiency can negatively affect your immune function and can cause inflammatory conditions like arthritis, autoimmune disease, depression, and high blood pressure. Vitamin D toxicity is very rare. Symptoms of vitamin D toxicity mirror the symptoms of vitamin K2 deficiency. This poses the question—do you have too much vitamin D or just not enough vitamin K2? Vitamin K2 is intricately involved with the transportation of calcium, while vitamin D helps with the absorption of calcium from your gut into your blood. Vitamin K2 keeps calcium out of your soft tissues and strengthens your bones. A lot of the confusion surrounding the RDA of vitamin D has to do with its measurement—international units. An international unit is an arbitrary number agreed on by some committee, and the amount varies from vitamin to vitamin. For example, one international unit of vitamin E is not the same as one international unit of vitamin A. Several factors affect the absorption of vitamin D: •Skin color •Age •Weight •Insulin resistance •Stress level •Genetics •Geographical location •Season •Gut health •Liver health •Gallbladder health or removal Vitamin D is intimately involved in the immune system and plays a crucial role in the function of Helper T cells. Helper T cells prevent our immune systems from harming our own tissues. If you have issues with your Helper T cells, you could potentially develop an autoimmune disease. Adequate intake of vitamin K2, magnesium, and zinc helps keep vitamin D active and prevent vitamin D toxicity. Plenty of water is also very important. The #1 Ultimate Cure for Cataracts - Dr. Berg Explains
In this podcast, we’re going to take a look at a simple natural solution for cataracts. Cataracts can be described as cloudiness or opaqueness of the lens of the eye. They are the number one cause of blindness and are typically treated with surgery. Too much oxidative stress can lead to cataracts. Oxidative stress occurs when there’s too much oxidation in the body and not enough antioxidants. Too much oxidation in the eye mainly stems from sugar consumption. If you have too much sugar in your blood, four main tissues are affected: the nerves, kidneys, arteries, and eyes. Sorbitol is a sugar alcohol that creates inflammation and glycation—and it tends to accumulate in the eye, creating cloudiness. Sorbitol can affect the retina of the eye and the cells that compose the myelin in your nerves. It can also increase the pressure in your eye, contributing to conditions like glaucoma. If you have cataracts, you need to change your diet and eliminate sugar. There is also another solution that may help. L-carnosine is a powerful antioxidant that works within the mitochondria and has anti-glycation and anti-aging effects. It also acts as a pH buffer. L-carnosine is an excellent option for the prevention and reversal of cataracts, but on its own, it can’t penetrate the eye. N-acetylcarnosine (NAC) is a compound that allows carnosine to penetrate the eye. Research has shown promising effects of using a one percent solution of NAC for conditions like glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration. Try using one to two drops of N-acetylcarnosine in each eye two to three times per day. Also, try taking NAC with zinc. Zinc is a powerful antioxidant and is important for NAC to be properly utilized in the body. Vitamin D and Cortisol: Why Are Their Functions So Similar?
Let’s talk about the interesting relationship between vitamin D and cortisol. When you’re under chronic stress, vitamin D is less absorbed in your gut. The building block for vitamin D is the same building block for cortisol. That building block is cholesterol. But, when you go through stress, your cholesterol is used to build more cortisol than vitamin D. However, you need plenty of vitamin D when you go through stress. Many people aren’t getting the vitamin D they need. The more stress someone has, the more vitamin D they need. In my opinion, the solution isn’t just increasing vitamin D but also cholesterol—making sure you have plenty of fat in your diet. The best ways to balance vitamin D and cortisol: 1. Get more vitamin D 2. Get plenty of magnesium 3. Consume more zinc 4. Take adaptogens 5. Exercise 6. Get quality sleep 7. Consume sea salt 8. Get more sun 9. Consume vitamin B1 10. Take AHCC before bed Download ALL the 25 Natural Ways to Lower Cortisol Here: https://drbrg.co/3Rsm0n1 DATA: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/arti... https://f1000research.com/articles/3-155 https://www.frontiersin.org/articles/... https://www.sciencedirect.com/science...

The Big Benefit of the RHODIOLA for Exercise Endurance
Let’s talk about rhodiola. Rhodiola is an adaptogen, which is a type of herb that helps you adapt to stress. It’s been suggested that rhodiola has a really interesting effect of significantly reducing perceived effort after exercise. Rhodiola has a lot of potential benefits and may help with certain issues, including: • Stress • Coughing • Fatigue • Depression • Altitude sickness • Tissue and organ damage from hypoxia Rhodiola may even help support cognitive function as well as improve HRV and angina pain. In one study, people who took rhodiola had more energy after exercise than those who had a placebo. Sleep is a huge factor when it comes to recovery from stress and exercise. It just so happens that rhodiola may help support healthy sleep cycles. One study even suggested that your body may need less sleep to get rejuvenated when taking rhodiola. Rhodiola may also help increase glycogen reserves (stored fuel) and ATP (energy). I don’t believe rhodiola tricks the brain into perceiving less effort. I think it helps increase endurance by increasing efficiency in the body. The CARB More Deadly than Sugar (SURPRISING)
Today, we’re going to talk about the carbohydrate that’s more dangerous than sugar: maltodextrin. Of all the ultra-processed food ingredients, I consider this one the worst. Maltodextrin is GMO, refined, and highly processed. It can lead to belly fat, diabetes, and gut inflammation, yet it’s considered safe. Even though maltodextrin is not a sugar and it’s not sweet, it behaves like sugar in the body. It’s also higher than sugar on the glycemic index. Maltodextrin is an ingredient in many different products, from chips to seasonings, supplements, and infant formulas. It’s even in certain drinks like light beer, energy drinks, and sports drinks. Because it’s not classified as a sugar, maltodextrin can also be added to sugar-free products even though it behaves like a sugar. Maltodextrin is a filler ingredient, and there are loopholes that companies can use to legally add it to their products. Other names for maltodextrin are dextrin, modified food starch, glucose syrup, corn starch, food starch, and corn syrup. It’s crucial to start reading the ingredients in your products to avoid dangerous ingredients like maltodextrin. SUBSCRIBE TO MY NEWSLETTER HERE: https://drbrg.co/4a8SkDS

How Sitting Is KILLING Your Back & Body
Today, we’re going to talk about sitting and what it’s doing to your fitness level. Fitness makes up just one part of your health. You also have your diet, supplements, and sleep. But you can’t get fit without motion—without exercise. Fitness is an enhanced capacity to survive and adapt to your environment. It’s an extra tool to help you buffer stress more easily, increase flexibility and strength, and look and feel better. On the flip side, a sedentary lifestyle is associated with stress and disease. Sitting for long periods can affect your entire body. If you’re sitting in front of a screen for long periods, your risk for certain health issues goes up even more. How to support your health if you have to sit for long periods: • Take frequent breaks and stretch or exercise • Use lumbar support while driving and a lumbar support device to stretch the lower back before bed • Get a comfortable office chair and continue to move your body as you sit • Get into a hobby that involves motion • Go for long walks and get sunshine • Get something to block the blue light from your computer screen • Get more exercise—try yoga or pilates • Be more aware of EMFs and distance yourself from them • Try a treadmill desk or standing desk

7 Top Supplements That REALLY Work

TUDCA • Helps thin the bile • May help with right shoulder, neck, and head pain • May help with issues related to the liver and gallbladder 3. Nattokinase • May help break up clots 4. NAC (N-Acetyl-Carnosine) • May help with cataracts 5. Choline • May help remove fat from the liver 6. Colostrum • Helps build the immune system 7. D-mannose • May help with UTIs

The Unique Benefits of Using Vitamin D3 and K2 Combined
Let’s talk about the potential benefits of taking vitamin D3 and vitamin K2 at the same time. Vitamin K2 and vitamin D3 work closely together. Vitamin D3 supports the absorption of calcium in the small intestines. Vitamin K2 takes calcium from the blood and transports it to the bones and teeth. It also activates a protein that keeps calcium out of the arteries, joints, and other areas of the body where it shouldn’t be. Vitamin K2 has many additional potential benefits, from supporting healthy blood sugar levels to improving wrinkles. Animal fats are a great source of the MK4 version of vitamin K2. A different form of vitamin K2, called MK7, comes from bacteria in foods like cheese and fermented foods. People who cut fatty foods from their diet are at risk for a vitamin K2 deficiency. Foods high in vitamin K2: • Grass-fed butter and ghee • Hard and soft cheeses • Egg yolks • Goose liver, chicken liver, and beef liver • Hot dogs • Salmon If someone chooses to take a vitamin K2 supplement, they may want to consider the MK7 version. For every 10,000 IU of vitamin D3, I suggest taking 100 MCG of vitamin K2.

The #1 Most Inflammatory Food in the World
Today, I want to cover the most inflammatory food in the world. There is a lot of debate over what the most inflammatory food is. Some people say meat, while others say it's the fiber in plants. Some people do well consuming fiber, and others don’t. Why? Humans can’t digest fiber. Your microbes are what break down fiber by fermenting it. While fiber is anti-inflammatory, unfermented fiber is inflammatory. If you don’t have enough of the right microbes in your gut, you could have more of an issue with fiber than other people. Certain things like antibiotics, improper nutrition as a child, ultra-processed foods, and glyphosate can alter your microbiome and lead to inflammation. The most inflammatory foods in the world are ultra-processed foods: a basic recipe of sugar, flour, and seed oils with a dash of glyphosate. How to Remove Skin Tags and Warts Overnight - Dr. Berg Explains
Today, I’m going to share how to remove skin tags and warts fast. In some cases, it may take a few days to a few weeks. However, I think you’ll notice a shrinkage in the skin tag or wart each time you apply this natural remedy. Skin tags and warts are growths on the skin that are essentially benign tumors. Benign tumors don’t spread and aren’t cancerous. Skin tags and warts are associated with high levels of estrogen, high insulin levels, and HPV. 95% of the population has HPV. Natural killer cells kill cancer cells and certain viruses. HPV weakens your natural killer cells. Other things that can weaken your natural killer cells are: • Stress • Injury • Trauma • Bereavement • Surgery • Nutrient deficiencies (especially zinc and vitamin D) • Chronic inflammation • Aging The best natural remedy for skin tags and warts: Add one drop of povidone-iodine to a small bowl. Crush one clove of garlic and add one drop of the liquid to the bowl with the iodine. Mix to combine. Use a Q-tip to apply the mixture onto the skin tag or wart, and place a Band-Aid over it. Repeat this every day until the wart or skin tag is gone. There is also a fantastic potential natural remedy for HPV called AHCC. AHCC may help increase the potency of your natural killer cells. It re-establishes the strength of your immune system so your body can clear out the virus. It also strengthens the autonomic nervous system.

This SUCKS! - Dr. Berg
Every year, a few times a year, I have a bad reaction to poison ivy. This time, it has affected my eye. Each time I was exposed and had a bad reaction, I was given prednisone. It got to the point where, after I was exposed, the effects of the poison ivy wouldn’t go away after using prednisone. People typically take prednisone for its anti-inflammatory or immune suppressant effects. But prednisone has side effects. Prednisone is a synthetic version of cortisol. Cortisol has benefits. It’s a hormone that helps the immune system and prepares the body for stress. But high cortisol levels can lead to a lot of health concerns. You don’t want to be on prednisone forever. The more you take it, the more it weakens the system. But if you stop taking it, your symptoms may come back. So, why don't we get to the root problem? Keep in mind that once you start taking prednisone, it’s important not to come off of it too fast. Prednisone and cortisol also deplete the body of numerous vitamins and minerals. The best ways to lower cortisol: 1. Lower your stress (do physical work, exercise, spend more time on a hobby, and take certain nutrients) 2. Take ashwagandha 3. Try breathing exercises 4. Heart Rate Variability (HRV): Measure Your Autonomic Nervous System (ANS)
Today, I want to introduce you to something called heart rate variability (HRV). HRV is a measurement of the variations between the heartbeats. There are different time distances between your heartbeats. The more varied the timing is between the heartbeats, the healthier a person is, and the higher the HRV is. The less varied the timing is, the less healthy the person is, and the lower the HRV is. HRV measures the autonomic nervous system. It has been well-researched and can help a person understand their ability to adapt to and recover from stress. Many people use this technology to determine whether or not their body can handle the stress of working out on a given day. Maybe they can handle doing high-intensity training one day, but their body would do better with a day off or with low-impact exercise the next. There are many different lifestyle changes you can make to help improve your overall health. HRV technology can help give you feedback to see if what you’re doing is actually benefiting you. It can even tell you your biological age and rate of aging. You really can’t take your health to the next level if you can’t measure it. This is a fantastic and easy-to-use tool to help you do that right at home. Vitamin D Deficiency and Zinc (THEY DEPEND ON EACH OTHER)
Today, we’re going to talk about the fascinating connection between vitamin D and zinc. Many people don’t realize that zinc is vital to allow vitamin D to work in the body. If you’re deficient in zinc, the vitamin D receptor won’t accept vitamin D. On the flip side, vitamin D allows zinc to be transported through the body. Symptoms of zinc deficiency: • Loss of taste or smell • Low testosterone • Diarrhea • Alopecia • Inflammatory skin problems • Vision problems • Ulcers • Inflammation • Poor immunity • Thymus atrophy Foods rich in zinc: • Oysters • Lobster • Shrimp • Liver • Red meat Causes of a zinc deficiency: • Not consuming foods high in zinc • Consuming phytates (in grains and legumes) • Pregnancy • Sickle cell anemia DATA: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science... https://www.sciencedirect.com/science... https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/9701158/ https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/arti...

4 Big Ways to Drop Your Cancer Risk
Today, I want to cover important things you can try to lower your risk for cancer. Cancer originates from normal cells. When something harmful happens in your environment, it can potentially create destruction to the mitochondria in your cells. Damaged mitochondria can no longer provide energy to a cell, and the cell is forced to use a different energy source. Now, we’re looking at a cancer cell. When mitochondria become damaged, and a cell turns into a cancer cell, the cancer cell becomes immortal. It also produces inflammation, and it seems to grow and spread into areas of inflammation. Mitochondria have many more functions than just producing energy. In my opinion, to reduce your risk of cancer, you need to reduce your risk of developing damage to the mitochondria. Natural ways to decrease your cancer risk: 1. Do intermittent and periodic prolonged fasting 2. Exercise 3. Get quality sleep 4. Socialize DATA: https://www.frontiersin.org/articles/...

Himalayan vs. Celtic Sea Salt: WHICH IS BETTER?
Let’s talk about sea salt. It’s important to get sea salt that has been extracted from parts of the world with very low, or zero, microplastics. The best types of sea salt are: • Himalayan sea salt • Celtic Sea Salt • Redmond Real Salt sea salt • Baja Gold sea salt All of these types of sea salt contain sodium chloride and trace minerals. If you want a sea salt that’s higher in trace minerals, you might want to go with Baja Gold. But, if you need more sodium chloride, the other types of sea salt I’ve mentioned are all great choices. Table salt, or sodium chloride, only has two minerals. Sea salt has between 60 and 94 minerals. Regular salt can also come from very polluted areas and can contain microplastics. Microplastics can affect the body’s endocrine system. People who are salt-sensitive may really just need to go on a low-carb diet and consume more potassium. You need sea salt to support a healthy body. A deficiency in sodium or chloride can lead to all kinds of issues. If you’re deficient in sodium, you may feel more anxiety and have trouble sleeping. Sodium deficiency can impact your immune system and lead to high blood pressure. Sea salt also helps hydrate you, and without enough sodium, your risk for insulin resistance goes up. If you’re on keto and are doing intermittent fasting, it’s essential to consume enough sea salt. If you don’t, you could experience symptoms like low blood pressure, dehydration, and overall weakness. If you exercise, your need for sea salt goes up even more.

Instantly Lower Blood Pressure within 60 Seconds
Today, I want to share an interesting home remedy that can potentially lower your risk of hypertension. Many people with high blood pressure are told to reduce their sodium intake. However, a deficiency in sodium can lead to high blood pressure. A low-salt diet can actually worsen your blood pressure. In my opinion, potassium is one of the key factors in restoring healthy blood pressure levels. Not decreasing sodium—just increasing potassium. Vitamin D is also important for someone with hypertension, especially essential hypertension. Insulin resistance is at the heart of metabolic syndrome. Metabolic syndrome is a combination of hypertension, high blood glucose, fatty liver disease, and high cholesterol. It’s crucial to go on a low-carb diet to support healthy blood pressure levels. Natural alternatives for hypertension: 1. Consume more potassium (vegetables) 2. Go on a low-carb diet 3. Take vitamin D or get more sun You can also try an incredible and simple breathing technique to help lower your blood pressure fast. This technique is called paced breathing. Take six complete breaths per minute. Slowly breathe through your nose using your chest, inhale for five seconds, and exhale for five seconds. Do this periodically throughout the day. Other potential benefits of paced breathing: • It can help increase oxygen saturation • It can help increase exercise tolerance • It can help decrease sympathetic overdrive DATA: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/24380... https://www.ahajournals.org/doi/10.11... https://www.ahajournals.org/doi/full/...

Intermittent Water Drinking: DON'T Drink Until Thirsty
Is it healthy to drink water all day long? Let’s talk about it. Yes, we need water—I’m not against drinking water. But I think we need to rethink the concept of sipping on something constantly. An interesting research paper suggests that thirst triggers oxytocin, the trust and love hormone. This is also a powerful stress-reducing hormone. If you drink something all day long, you may not trigger oxytocin as much as if you waited until your body gave you signals of thirst. We know the importance of eating intermittently, but what about drinking intermittently? We don’t want to reduce the quantity of water we drink, but what if we decrease the frequency we drink? Drinking too much water can dilute your stomach acid and affect your digestion. It can also flush out electrolytes and lead to low sodium levels. A sodium deficiency may cause fatigue, weakness, an increase in adrenaline, and many other health concerns. You need a combination of water and sodium in your diet to really hydrate your body. I think we need to ask ourselves more often whether we’re actually thirsty or not. You may even find your stress goes down a bit if you don’t over-hydrate. Instead of Body Mass Index (BMI), Use THIS...
Let’s talk about the problems with using BMI (body mass index) as a weight or health measurement. One of the biggest problems with BMI is that it doesn’t tell you how much fat you have versus muscle. It also can’t give you much of an idea of what's going on with your overall health. Other common measurements: • BMR (basal metabolic rate): Measures how fast you’re burning calories • TDEE (total daily energy expenditure): Measures the quantity of energy being burned • Keto calculator: Measures BMR and TDEE and can tell you how many calories and how many macronutrients you should consume in a day based on your BMR and TDEE Many times, people look at how much weight they lose per week as a measurement of how healthy their metabolism is. However, this isn’t a good idea. A big principle to consider is: get healthy to lose weight—don’t lose weight to get healthy. In the process of exercising and getting healthy, you’re going to gain muscle. Muscle is heavier than fat. This means that some weeks you may not lose any weight, but your clothes are still going to feel more and more loose. Instead of a BMI test, there are many other helpful tests you can do to help measure your overall health. One of the best assessments of overall health is the metabolic test. This test can look at your metabolic pathways in real-time. It can provide great data to help professionals understand what could happen down the road, so you can do something about it now. The #1 Best Remedy for Hemorrhoids - Dr. Berg
Let’s talk about the best natural remedy for hemorrhoids: Collinsonia root. Collinsonia root has been used as an herbal remedy for a very long time. It’s used to address the venous system and the liver. Collinsonia root is therapeutic for venous congestion, which is the stagnant flow of blood in the venous system. Collinsonia root may also help with certain conditions, such as: • Laryngitis • Sore throat • Bronchitis • Mucus • Digestive issues Pregnancy, belly fat, ascites, and constipation lead to an increased risk of hemorrhoids. A lot of these conditions have an association with a liver issue, congestion in the liver, and venous congestion. There are very minimal side effects of Collinsonia root, and it may be a great natural alternative to try for hemorrhoids. DATA: https://www.liebertpub.com/doi/abs/10...

How to STOP Prediabetes Going Into Diabetes
How can you stop prediabetes from developing into diabetes? Let’s talk about it. There is something that occurs before prediabetes called insulin resistance. This is a condition where your body is resisting high levels of insulin. High insulin levels are created from consuming a high-carb diet. Insulin resistance will keep your blood sugar levels appearing normal until you develop prediabetes. However, you’ll still experience symptoms of insulin resistance. Eventually, though, the beta cells that make insulin will not work as well, and you’ll develop prediabetes. If no changes are made, prediabetes can become diabetes very quickly. At this point, you have insulin resistance and high blood glucose (diabetes). Symptoms of diabetes: • Frequent urination • Brain fog • Feeling tired after eating • Frequent eating • Cravings for carbs • Tingling sensation in the hands or feet • Vision problems • Kidney problems • Fatty liver • Belly fat The typical treatment for diabetes is medication. However, the dietary consumption of sugar and carbs is often overlooked. The best ways to prevent diabetes naturally: 1. Replace the carbs in your diet with fat and protein 2. Do intermittent fasting 3. Consume low-starch vegetables 4. Get plenty of trace minerals, B vitamins, vitamin C, and vitamin D 5. Exercise

How to Regrow Your Hair (UPDATED VITAL INFO)
Today, I’m going to cover the best natural ways to regrow hair. Whether you’re losing hair, your hair is thinning, or you have alopecia—these tips for hair loss may help. Hair is protein, and protein is made of amino acids. Lysine is a specific amino acid that greatly impacts hair growth. Lysine also helps make hair stronger and more elastic. The best foods for hair growth are foods high in lysine, like red meat and eggs. Consuming six to eight ounces of high-quality protein twice a day will give you the protein you need. Many people experiencing hair loss are low in iron. Red meat and eggs are high in iron, and lysine helps increase iron absorption. When you go through stress, your body’s demand for lysine goes up. If stress is causing you to lose hair, you may want to try increasing your protein consumption. To regrow hair, it’s also crucial to lower your cortisol by reducing your stress. Inflammation or a malabsorption issue in your gut could lead to a deficiency in lysine. Consuming grains or seed oils can lead to inflammation. If you have gut inflammation, you may want to try the carnivore diet. It’s also important to support your gut microbiome because your gut microbes make amino acids. A disruption of your gut flora can cause a disruption in the microbes on your scalp. This can lead to issues like dandruff and skin disorders. A probiotic supplement or probiotic foods may help promote healthy, thick hair. A powerful form of testosterone called DHT has been known to cause hair thinning or hair loss. Zinc is a fantastic natural DHT inhibitor, and it’s in red meat. Lysine also helps inhibit DHT. Lysine is important to support a healthy body and has many other health benefits that may indirectly help with hair loss and support hair growth. Great natural remedies for hair loss are: • Pumpkin seed oil • Green tea extract • Stinging nettle root • Nutritional yeast DATA: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/12190640 https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/arti...

Clean Out Your Kidneys of Oxalates and Stones - Dr. Berg
Let’s talk about oxalates and the best ways to flush out oxalates to help prevent kidney stones. Signs your oxalate levels are high: • Kidney stones • Gout • Headaches • Eye pain • Urinary pain • Genital pain • Muscle pain • Intestinal pain Foods high in oxalates: • Almonds • Peanuts • Spinach • Chocolate • Kiwi • Strawberries • Beets • Tea • Bran Dietary oxalates aren’t correlated with oxalates in your urine. Just because you consume foods high in oxalates doesn’t mean you will develop any problems. But, preexisting damage to your kidneys, liver, or metabolism can cause you to be unable to process oxalates like you should. Diabetes, prediabetes, insulin resistance, and carb consumption can lead to kidney problems. A lack of certain microbes can also prevent you from breaking down oxalates, causing them to end up in the kidneys. Many people who go on the ketogenic diet no longer have a problem dealing with oxalates. But if you’re still experiencing issues, you can try these tips. What to do if you have high oxalate levels or are prone to kidney stones: 1. Limit foods high in oxalates or consume them with cheese 2. Take a probiotic with a mixture of lactobacillus 3. Maintain higher levels of magnesium and citrates (by consuming magnesium and lemon) 4. Get plenty of vitamin D 5. Drink at least two and a half liters of fluid a day DATA: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/arti... https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.1...

The Unique Benefits of ASHWAGANDHA (How and When to Take it) - Dr. Berg Explains
Today, I want to cover the amazing herb ashwagandha. Top potential benefits of ashwagandha: 1. Lowers stress and anxiety 2. Supports weight loss 3. Reduces insulin resistance 4. Promotes quality sleep 5. Enhances cognitive function 6. Improves stamina and strength while exercising 7. Reduces inflammation 8. Stimulates the thyroid 9. Enhances the immune system 10. Supports healthy testosterone levels 11. Decreases pain 12. Improves muscle spasms 13. Reduces fluid retention 14. Increases heat shock proteins When to avoid ashwagandha: • If you have a sensitivity to nightshades • If you have excess iron or a genetic tendency to accumulate iron • If you have hyperthyroidism • If you take barbiturates or thyroid hormones Consider consuming 250 milligrams to 500 milligrams of ashwagandha twice per day. If using a tincture at a one-to-five ratio, it’s recommended that you take between two and four milliliters three times a day. DATA: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/arti... https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/31517... https://www.nmi.health/ashwagandha-a-... https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/24882... https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/36516...

How WORRY Ruins Your Body (HOW TO STOP IT)
Let’s talk about stress and cortisol. I’ve seen many people get on the right track with their diet and exercise—but they're still stuck in fight-or-flight mode. Being in fight-or-flight mode, having elevated cortisol and adrenaline, for a long period isn’t healthy. Chronic stress has been known to negatively affect the body in many ways, including: • Shrinking your grey matter • Shrinking your thymus gland • Creating muscle atrophy • Decreasing testosterone • Running the body on sugar (even when you’re not eating sugar) • Disrupting healthy digestion • Reducing quality sleep Chronic worry and stress can also lead to ulcers, inflammation, and disease. An interesting study measured 39 people’s cortisol levels before and after a 45-minute art therapy session. This study found a significant reduction of cortisol in participants. I have found that hobbies are a fantastic way to stop the fixation on stress and move your attention to something more positive. DATA: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/arti...

The Real Reason Why You Are TIRED All the Time
Let’s talk about fatigue—the root cause and how to fix it. It all starts with your mitochondria. The mitochondria are the energy factories deep inside your cells that make ATP. ATP is the energy of the body. Certain foods contribute to the energy-making process of the body more than other foods. It’s almost impossible to extract energy from ultra-processed foods. Important nutrients to support energy include: • Vitamin B1 • Vitamin B2 • Vitamin B3 • Folic acid • Vitamin B12 • Magnesium • Manganese • Selenium • Vitamin C • Coenzyme Q10 A healthy person makes a massive amount of ATP. You generate more ATP when you exercise, but ATP doesn’t get stored. Your body can either store sugar or fat as fuel. Fat is a much more efficient fuel source than sugar. When you go on a low-carb diet and get into ketosis, you become fat-adapted. Once you’re fat-adapted, you can burn fat as fuel a lot easier. This is why the keto diet, with a lot of nutrient-dense foods, is the best diet to increase energy. Exercise is the number one way to produce more mitochondria and boost your energy. This is just one more reason to exercise consistently. Other things to add to increase your energy and get rid of fatigue: • Intermittent fasting • Cold therapy • Phytonutrients Things to avoid to help support healthy energy levels: • Refined sugar and carbohydrates • Stress • Heavy metals • Smoking • Alcohol DATA: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/arti...

How STRESS Robs You of These Vitamins
Let’s talk about stress and how to take care of your body during chronic stress. Stress can cause deficiencies—these deficiencies can then alter your ability to react to and recover from stress. Chronic stress can be very dangerous to your health. Too much stress can lead to: • Ulcers • Heart attack • Osteoporosis • High blood pressure • Anxiety • Depression • Poor immunity Deficiencies caused by stress can include: 1. Magnesium 2. Zinc 3. Thiamine (vitamin B1) 4. Potassium 5. Vitamin B5 6. Amino acids 7. Calcium 8. Vitamin D 9. Vitamin C When you go through stress, it’s easy to reach for junk foods. But it’s crucial you avoid sweets and junk food, even when you’re stressed. It’s also important to avoid foods high in sodium when you’re feeling stressed. The more stress you go through, the healthier you need to eat. Consuming red meat and a big leafy green salad would be a great meal to consume when you go through stress. An HRV (heart rate variability) device is a fantastic tool to help you measure your stress and how you respond to stress. This device can also help you better understand what type of exercise and nutrition your body needs at different times. The best ways to take care of your body during stress: • Stick to a very healthy diet (Healthy Keto®) • Get quality sleep • Exercise

The 7 Powerful Ways to Increase Autophagy
Let’s talk about autophagy. Autophagy is an incredible process. It basically eats up the junk in your body and transforms it into usable things. This “junk” is unusable damaged proteins, which trigger inflammation. It also helps get rid of pathogens and viral antigens. Autophagy is like an anti-aging cleaning system of the body. But it doesn’t just clean things up—it provides raw material to build new cells and provide fuel when you need it. Two major things will stop autophagy: sugar and protein. But any significant amount of calories will also stop autophagy. Autophagy may act as a strong protective barrier against disease. But, if you already have cancer, autophagy can aid the growth and progression of cancer. Autophagy can help you if you’re healthy and can hurt you if you’re not healthy. Unfortunately, many people wait until they get sick before they utilize strategies like autophagy. The best way to trigger autophagy is to do fasting. You’ll notice more positive benefits from autophagy once you get into about 18 hours of fasting. You’ll notice even more benefits when you get up to 48 to 72 hours of fasting. You can take electrolytes, nutrients, and sea salt, but you shouldn’t consume any calories while fasting. An additional simple strategy to see more benefits from autophagy is to go on a low-sugar, low-carb diet. Consuming a moderate amount of protein is also crucial—not excess protein or low protein. Exercise is important to stimulate autophagy. Aerobic exercise (lower intensity and longer duration) will stimulate autophagy more than high-intensity exercise. But, I suggest doing both forms of exercise for different benefits. Certain phytonutrients and adaptogens can also trigger autophagy to a certain degree. Dr. Berg Fact-checks the Fact-Checker
Dr. Gil Carvalho made a video where he fact-checked one of my videos. I’m going to go through this video and fact-check the fact-checker. It turns out that Dr. Gil Carvalho seems to be a council member of a plant-based group whose president is very much against the keto diet. Listen as I dig deeper, uncovering conflicts of interest and searching for the truth.

Alternative Sweeteners: Monk Fruit, Stevia, Erythritol & Xylitol – Dr. Berg
Let’s talk about alternative sweeteners. Trying alternative sweeteners when starting the ketogenic diet can make the transition much easier. Notice I said alternative sweeteners and not artificial sweeteners. While alternative sweeteners aren’t completely natural, they are less artificial and less harmful than artificial sweeteners. Keto snacks and desserts often have different kinds of alternative or artificial sweeteners. Trying keto snacks and keto desserts isn’t a bad thing, but it’s crucial to check the ingredients. Just because it’s labeled “keto” doesn’t make it healthy. Out of all of the sweeteners, erythritol and xylitol* are two of the best. But it’s still better to only consume small amounts. Monk fruit and stevia are also great options. However, with stevia, it’s important to make sure that the product doesn’t also contain maltodextrin. Maltodextrin is higher on the glycemic index than sugar. Maltitol, agave nectar, and functional fibers should also be avoided. Including too much of these sugar alcohols (even the good ones) in your diet can cause bloating, fluid retention, diarrhea, and can upset the gut microbiome. They may also prevent you from getting rid of cravings. I think sugar alternatives are great to help a person transition off of consuming sugar and for an occasional treat—but they shouldn’t be consumed on a regular basis. *Pet owners should keep in mind that certain alternative sweeteners, like xylitol, can be highly toxic to animals. Sugar alternatives can be found in a wide range of products and may go by different names. It’s best to keep these types of products far out of reach from your pets. Magnesium L-Threonate is the Form of Mg for Memory, Concentration & Focus
Magnesium comes in many different forms. Today, I want to cover magnesium threonate or magnesium L-threonate. This is a specific type of magnesium. Threonate transports magnesium across the blood-brain barrier to the hippocampus. The hippocampus is involved in memory, learning, focus, and concentration. People typically take magnesium L-threonate when they want to support the brain. A magnesium deficiency can lead to various issues related to the brain and throughout the body. Benefits of magnesium L-threonate: • It may help reduce worry and anxiety (especially when trying to sleep) • It may help decrease neuroinflammation and neurodegeneration • It’s a calcium regulator and antagonist • It helps maintain and support the blood-brain barrier • It can act as an antioxidant • It helps support BDNF • It may help with androgenic alopecia If you want to use magnesium to support the brain, I would use magnesium threonate. To support other issues like cramping or fatigue or to support the heart, I would take magnesium glycinate. Magnesium citrate can be helpful as well, especially to help prevent kidney stones. DATA: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/arti...

Never Take Vitamin A Supplements
Let’s talk about vitamin A—the benefits of vitamin A and the dark side. Vitamin A is a non-keratinizing vitamin. Keratinization is a condition that causes skin issues. Both a vitamin A deficiency and excess vitamin A can affect the internal and external skin in many ways. Vitamin A is involved in supporting the immune system as well. There is an association between vitamin A deficiency and autoimmune conditions like Graves’ and Hashimoto’s. Vitamin A also allows iodine to be absorbed. Signs of vitamin A deficiency: • Poor night vision • Blindness • Dry eyes • Poor immunity • Skin problems • Bone issues Signs of too much vitamin A: • Abnormal bone formation • Dry lips • Dry skin • Double vision • Alopecia • Oily skin • Peeling skin • Heart valve calcification • Hypercalcemia • Intracranial pressure Vitamin A toxicity is rare, but taking a synthetic vitamin A supplement may increase your risk. Synthetic vitamin A may also increase the risk of lung cancer. Accutane, a form of synthetic vitamin A, has serious potential side effects. I suggest getting your vitamin A from food sources or natural food-based supplements. Foods high in vitamin A (retinol): • Cod liver oil • Egg yolks • Grass-fed butter • Grass-fed cheese • Liver Beta carotene is the precursor to the active form of vitamin A (retinol). Beta carotene is in foods like carrots and spinach. But, if you’re relying on beta carotene alone to get your vitamin A or if you have a liver or gallbladder issue, you could be deficient in vitamin A.

The 1st Sign of a Methylcobalamin (B12) Deficiency
Let’s talk about the first sign of methylcobalamin deficiency. Methylcobalamin is vitamin B12, and it’s essential for DNA, red blood cells, and your myelin sheath. Vitamin B12 also helps support your spinal column and brain. If you’re deficient in vitamin B12, you could experience tingling, numbness, or burning sensations. Other signs of vitamin B12 deficiency can include: • Chronic pain • Depression • Muscle wasting • Blurry vision • Tinnitus • Anemia • Mouth ulcers • Sore throat • Hair loss You could also experience symptoms if you have too much vitamin B12. Vitamin B12 toxicity will typically occur if you’re taking too much synthetic vitamin B12 (cyanocobalamin)—not the natural version (methylcobalamin). Cyanocobalamin can build up in the body and cause symptoms such as: • Acne • Palpitations • Anxiety • Red cheeks • Headaches • Insomnia • Akathisia • Suicidal thoughts You could be deficient in vitamin B12 long before you start to feel any effects. But that doesn’t mean that there isn’t damage being done. One of the first symptoms you would eventually feel is extreme fatigue. Foods high in vitamin B12 are animal products. There is no vitamin B12 in plants. Top causes of vitamin B12 deficiency: • Malabsorption • Plant-based or vegan diets • Gastric bypass • Atrophy of the stomach • Gastritis • H. pylori infection • Ulcers • Inflammation in the intestines • Aspirin • Alcohol • Junk foods • Antibiotics • Antacids or PPIs • Birth control pills • Pregnancy • Lactation • Smoking • Polymorphism

6 Foods That Can Kill You
There are obvious foods that can kill you, like refined sugar and carbs—but that’s not what we're going to talk about today. Today, I’m going to cover six surprising foods that can kill you and a few potential natural antidotes. The top deadliest foods: 1. Pufferfish (fugu) 2. Death cap mushroom 3. Korean baby octopus 4. Green potatoes 5. Raw chicken 6. Foods containing cyanide: • The seeds or pits of apples, peaches, pears, and apricots • Bitter almonds • Cassava It’s best to avoid any of the above at all costs. If you do somehow consume death cap mushrooms, milk thistle and NAC are two potential antidotes that may help. Methylene blue is another potential antidote that has been used to help counter cyanide poisoning. The 4 Causes of Air Hunger / Difficulty Breathing (Dyspnea)
Today, we’re going to talk about the best natural things to do for difficulty breathing, air hunger, or dyspnea. Traditionally, people may have heard of this symptom being caused by asthma, pneumonia, COPD, lung infection, anemia, or a heart condition. But what if you rule these conditions out and still have problems breathing? This is called pseudo-dyspnea. With pseudo-dyspnea, you may feel better with exercise and worse with rest. Top causes of pseudo-dyspnea (difficulty breathing) and natural remedies: 1. Silent reflux Natural solutions: • Chlorophyll • Wheatgrass juice powder • Betaine hydrochloride (if there isn’t irritation to the gut or esophagus) • Apple cider vinegar diluted in water and consumed through a straw (if there isn’t irritation to the gut or esophagus) 2. Alkalosis Natural solutions: • Betaine hydrochloride (if there isn’t irritation to the gut or esophagus) • Apple cider vinegar diluted in water and consumed through a straw (if there isn’t irritation to the gut or esophagus) • Healthy Keto® and intermittent fasting • TUDCA 3. Costochondritis Natural support: • Massaging and stretching the spine • Using a mobility stick 4. COVID Natural support: • Thiamine (vitamin B1) DATA: ▶️ • Shortness of Breath / Air Hunger / Si... https://www.hormonesmatter.com/recove...

What Would Happen if You Drank Soda for 14 Days?
Let’s talk about what happens to your body when you drink soda. In a ten-ounce soda, there are up to ten teaspoons of sugar. Instead of cane sugar, soda companies are also using high-fructose corn syrup. High-fructose corn syrup can create even more problems than cane sugar, especially for the liver. The effects of fructose on the liver are actually similar to the effects of alcohol on the liver. Fructose creates more fat than glucose, and it doesn’t satisfy. Fructose can potentially lead to non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. The high-fructose corn syrup combined with caffeine in soda may lead to issues with your blood pressure, heart, brain, bones, and kidneys. Soda is also a key contributor to childhood obesity. The sugar in soda feeds unfriendly bacteria, yeast, and fungus. It can also suppress your immune system and make you more susceptible to infections. This can lead to other issues, including increased tumor growth. It’s crucial to point out that cancer thrives on sugar. Sugary drinks also block vitamin C and deplete vitamin B1 and vitamin D. Soft drinks are associated with over 180,000 deaths worldwide. But combining soda with a fast food meal is an even deadlier situation. What Would Happen if You Only Got 5 Hours of Sleep Per Night - NOT GOOD!
Let’s talk about what would happen if you went two weeks with less than five hours of sleep each night. Getting seven to eight hours of sleep is the best way to support a healthy body. But many people aren’t getting enough quality sleep. There are so many health benefits of sleep. This is when our bodies recover, burn fat, and detoxify the most. Here are the top side effects of not getting enough sleep: • Fatigue • Mood changes • Poor cognitive function (with memory, focus, concentration) • Sympathetic hyperactivity • An increased risk of cardiovascular problems, stroke, and diabetes • Weight gain • Fatty liver • Immune system impairment • Poor recovery from injury, stress, or exercise If you have sleep apnea or you're a heavy snorer, you may experience an imbalance of oxygen and CO2, which can cause poor sleep. Other potential severe side effects of sleep apnea can include: • Brain atrophy • Increased risk of cancer, cardiovascular incidents, stroke, and diabetes There are many different natural things you can try for sleep apnea. Check out my other videos for more information. What to do if you’re not getting enough sleep: 1. Take a nap 2. Keep your room cool (between 60 to 68 degrees Fahrenheit) and leave your window open if possible 3. Try to keep the humidity in your room at 50% 4. Turn off all electronics in your room when you’re sleeping 5. Don’t overeat or undereat in the evening, and make sure to consume enough protein 6. Don’t eat too late in the evening 7. As it gets dark, start dimming the lights and avoiding blue light

6 Foods that Lower Cortisol
I’ve done a lot of videos on cortisol, especially as it relates to the adrenal body type or adrenal glands. But I haven’t done a video on the foods that lower cortisol. That’s what we’re going to talk about today. Of course, there are a lot of benefits to reducing cortisol, but we’re not going to get into that today. Instead, I want to cover the foods that can help you lower cortisol naturally. Cortisol adapts the body to a stress state. It's important to note that the body doesn’t know the difference between mental stress and physical stress. A high level of sugar in your blood affects cortisol and adrenaline. In other words, consuming sugar, refined carbs, and starches keeps you in stress mode. On the flip side, the Healthy Keto® diet and intermittent fasting help lower cortisol and promote a sense of calm. The best foods to lower cortisol and stress: 1. Egg yolks 2. Organ meats 3. Nutritional yeast or sunflower seeds 4. Dark leafy green vegetables 5. Salmon and other fatty fish 6. Probiotics and fermented foods (sauerkraut, kefir, pickles, kimchi) DATA: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/arti... https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/arti... https://link.springer.com/article/10....

The Fastest Way to Pull Yourself Out of Any Stressful Situation
Today, I’m going to share one of the best ways to reduce stress. It can also help those who struggle to fall asleep or stay asleep at night. This simple stress-release technique works fast, is free, and has many health benefits. It will help balance the parasympathetic nervous system, which is all about “rest and digest.” This easy breathing technique is based on a book called Heart Coherence 365. What you need to remember is 365, which stands for: • 3 times a day • 6 breaths per minute • 5 minutes Three times a day, you’re going to take six breaths per minute for five minutes. It’s important to make sure you take deep, even breaths through your nose using your stomach. You should feel your diaphragm going out and in. This breathing technique for stress can also help improve HRV (heart rate variability). HRV has a lot to do with your health and fitness reserves. An HRV (heart rate variability) device can help you better understand and improve your health and nervous system balance. DATA: https://www.amazon.com/Heart-coherenc...
