The #1 Mineral Deficiency in High Blood Pressure (Hypertension)
Over 120 million Americans have high blood pressure! Simply reducing sodium won’t always correct the electrolyte imbalance that could be keeping your blood pressure high. Uncover how to reduce blood pressure naturally by addressing the real hypertension causes no one talks about. 0:00 Introduction: Essential hypertension causes1:19 Sodium vs. potassium2:06 The sodium-potassium ratio explained3:48 Potassium for blood pressure6:06 Diuretics and electrolyte imbalance7:23 Potassium supplements9:44 Potassium and magnesium👉 Download Dr. Berg’s Free Daily Health Routine: https://drbrg.co/45qtO07Nearly half of all Americans have high blood pressure. Around 90% is considered essential hypertension, which means the cause is unknown. It's often recommended to reduce sodium intake to reduce blood pressure, but that’s only a piece of the puzzle. Research has shown that people with the highest sodium and lowest potassium ratio have the highest risk of heart attacks. The problem is the ratio, not necessarily sodium consumption. Most people in the US are consuming far more sodium than potassium. Potassium helps to reduce blood pressure naturally by relaxing blood vessels, lowering adrenaline, protecting the inside of the arteries, and supporting insulin sensitivity. Diuretics are commonly prescribed for high blood pressure and work by flushing excess fluid from the body. This leads to potassium loss and electrolyte imbalance, which contributes to hypertension. Potassium supplements often come in 99 mg doses, which is far below the 4700 mg daily requirement. Faulty studies were the basis of determining this tiny dosage. Along with potassium, adequate magnesium is vital to reduce blood pressure naturally. The #1 Thing Destroying Your Liver Isn't Alcohol

It detoxifies toxic compounds, renders them harmless, and exports fat to prevent a fatty liver. Glutathione is an important compound that helps neutralize toxins in the liver. Fructose consumption is the leading cause of chronic liver disease. High-fructose corn syrup is in everything from soda, cereal, and granola bars to ketchup and yogurt. Unlike glucose, fructose can only be metabolized by the liver. Once fructose enters the liver, it activates fat accumulation and blocks fat-burning. Children as young as 2 are developing fatty livers! Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease is the most common cause of liver transplants.Tylenol is the number one cause of acute liver failure in the United States. It depletes glutathione, inhibiting your liver’s ability to neutralize toxins. Early signs of liver damage include nausea, fatigue, vomiting, and flu-like symptoms. The liver is one of the only organs that can completely regenerate. Eliminating high-fructose corn syrup from the diet and taking choline and NAC can help reverse liver damage and support liver health.Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio:Dr. Berg, age 60, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. Cancer Is a Parasite
Why is the $5 remedy linked to stage 4 cancer remission being ignored? It consumes your resources as it spreads throughout the body. In 2025, over 2 million Americans were diagnosed with cancer, and a 79% increase in cancer among young people has been reported.Cancer cells operate in a primitive survival mode, utilizing glycolysis for energy. Cancer thrives in an environment where our cells are struggling, and our mitochondria are damaged. Cancer cells are highly adaptive and can survive on glutamine, BCAAs, and even ketones at advanced stages. Researchers have identified 3 different survival systems typically used by parasites, fungi, worms, and cancer:1. Internal scaffolding 2. Prevention of the self-destruction of damaged cells3. Utilization of glycolysisAnti-parasitic drugs and remedies such as fenbendazole, ivermectin, wormwood, black walnut hulls, and cloves can dismantle the survival mechanisms of parasites, worms, and cancer cells. In addition to natural cancer remedies, you need to stop eating foods that feed cancer. Eliminate sugar, starches, and junk food from your diet. Rotating your diet and fasting schedule can also help. A strong immune system is the most powerful weapon against cancer. Your killer T cells and natural killer cells can kill cancer directly. To support these cells, increase vitamin D levels and focus on fasting, adequate sleep, and exercise.Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio:Dr. Berg, age 60, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. Around 30% of the protein in your body is made of collagen. Most people do not consume enough collagen, since we no longer eat animals nose-to-tail like our ancestors. As we age, we lose collagen. One-third of collagen is an amino acid called glycine. Glycine is vital for your sleep, gut health, detoxification, hair health, and blood sugar. It’s beneficial for preventing gout and kidney stones, and even supports gum health.Around 10% of the collagen you consume is in the form of collagen peptides. These peptides communicate with your fibroblasts, which help repair your tissues and rebuild collagen in the body. Junk food, sugar, seed oils, stress, and aging can all contribute to collagen loss. To increase your collagen intake, try consuming collagen in your coffee, or from bone broth, chicken skin, fish skin, and pork rinds. If you consume collagen powder, make sure it contains vitamin C. So Called "Normal Labs" are NOT Healthy
Normal blood levels don’t always mean you’re healthy. Discover why standard lab tests can miss disease, the difference between optimal vs. normal lab ranges, and how to interpret normal lab results when you still have symptoms.Download Dr. Berg's Free Daily Health Routine: https://drbrg.co/45qtO07Normal blood levels are often determined by averages in the population, not necessarily by what’s healthy or optimal. Some people suffer from hidden health problems in silence because blood tests often miss disease. You can have high insulin levels for many years before noticing an increase in blood glucose levels. An A1C test assesses blood sugar, but a fasting insulin test is a better indicator of health. A low-carb diet and intermittent fasting can correct insulin resistance and high blood sugar. If you have potassium or magnesium deficiency symptoms, yet your blood levels are normal, it’s because the problem is deep in your tissues. Blood tests are not the best way to test for many hidden nutrient deficiencies. 🌟 Standard testing can often leave you with symptoms but normal lab results. Check out this list of tests commonly offered, along with which test you should ask for instead.• MagnesiumStandard test: Serum magnesiumBetter test to ask for: RBC magnesiumWhy: 99% of magnesium is inside the cell; serum levels only show what is circulating in the blood, not what is actually inside the cells. • Vitamin B12Standard test: Total B12Better test to ask for: Methylmalonic acid (MMA)Why: High MMA indicates that B12 is not functioning properly, even if blood B12 levels appear normal.• Vitamin B1Standard test: Serum thiamineBetter test to ask for: Erythrocyte transketolaseWhy: This test measures whether enzymes that depend on vitamin B1 are actually working, showing functional B1 status.• Vitamin DStandard test: 25-OH vitamin DBetter test to ask for: Parathyroid hormone (PTH)Why: If vitamin D levels look normal but PTH is elevated, the body may still be functionally deficient in vitamin D.• ZincStandard test: Plasma zincBetter test to ask for: Alkaline phosphataseWhy: Low alkaline phosphatase can indicate zinc deficiency because this enzyme requires zinc to function. • InsulinStandard test: Fasting glucoseBetter test to ask for: HOMA-IRWhy: HOMA-IR (glucose × insulin ÷ 405) provides a better measurement of insulin resistance. • InflammationStandard test: Standard CRPBetter test to ask for: High-sensitivity CRP (hs-CRP)Why: High-sensitivity CRP can detect low-grade inflammation that may be occurring in the arteries.Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio:Dr. Berg, age 60, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. The 3 Vitamins That WORSEN Nerve Pain (A Nerve Poison?)
Are your vitamins causing nerve pain? Discover the vitamins that worsen nerve pain and peripheral neuropathy, why certain nerve pain vitamins make matters worse, and what you can do to fix it.0:00 Introduction: Vitamins that worsen nerve pain0:12 Vitamin B6 1:59 Vitamin B12 4:17 Vitamin B1 deficiency and peripheral neuropathy4:35 Nerve pain vitamins 5:39 Alpha-lipoic acid for peripheral neuropathy6:41 Avoiding vitamins that worsen nerve pain Download Dr. Berg's Free Daily Health Routine: https://drbrg.co/45qtO07If it seems that your vitamins are making nerve pain worse, the solution might be simple. Vitamin B6 is vital in neurotransmission, but must be converted to its active form through the liver. Unconverted vitamin B6 can accumulate in the body and affect the nervous system if your liver is sluggish, if you don't have enough bile, or if you’re low in glutathione. Inflammation, high blood sugar, and low magnesium can also inhibit your ability to make this conversion. Most vitamin B12 supplements contain cyanocobalamin, which is useless unless converted into the active form, methylcobalamin. Vitamin B1 is vital in supporting the mitochondria and the myelin sheath. Low vitamin B1 is a common cause of peripheral neuropathy. Vitamins B1, B6, and B12 are water-soluble vitamins, so they can’t easily penetrate the brain and myelin sheath. Benfotiamine is a fat-soluble form of vitamin B1 that can penetrate the myelin sheath to help reverse peripheral neuropathy. Alpha-lipoic acid is a powerful antioxidant that can help with peripheral neuropathy, support mitochondrial function, and improve insulin sensitivity. Key takeaways:1. Use the right forms of vitamin B1, vitamin B6, and vitamin B122. Don’t go over 50 mg per day3. Ensure you have enough bile4. Consume fermented foods5. Make sure your insulin is balanced6. Don’t forget about alpha-lipoic acidDr. Eric Berg DC Bio:Dr. Berg, age 60, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. The Hidden Danger in Bread (It’s NOT Gluten)
The real danger in bread isn’t the gluten. In this video, we’ll explain why bread can be unhealthy, how it affects insulin and blood sugar, and what you can eat instead if you decide to stop eating bread.0:00 Introduction: Why bread is unhealthy1:14 The bread blood sugar spike 1:50 The gluten myth 2:54 Bread dangers6:37 Is whole wheat bread healthy? 7:40 Gluten allergies8:22 Modern wheat dangersDownload Dr. Berg’s Free Daily Health Routine: https://drbrg.co/45qtO07Bread is mostly starch, which is a chain of glucose molecules. Even if the label says zero grams of sugar, that starch is quickly broken down into sugar in your bloodstream.Wheat is in many of the foods people eat regularly: pizza, cereal, granola bars, and more. The average American consumes wheat almost every day.One of the biggest problems with bread is the blood sugar spike. In some cases, bread can spike your blood sugar even more than table sugar, despite being labeled as having zero sugar.Gluten-free bread isn’t always a healthier option. Many gluten-free breads are made with potato starch, rice flour, tapioca starch, or cornstarch instead of wheat flour. These ingredients can spike blood sugar just as much as, if not more than, regular sugar. The starch in bread doesn’t just affect blood sugar. It may also contribute to higher LDL cholesterol, fatty liver, and glycation. When bread spikes your blood sugar, insulin is released to bring it down. But where does the excess sugar go? Much of it gets converted into stored fat in the liver and around the belly. Over time, repeated blood sugar spikes and high insulin levels can lead to insulin resistance. While a small percentage of people have a true gluten allergy or sensitivity, for many others, the real issue with bread is the starch. Modern wheat has also been heavily hybridized and engineered to contain higher levels of gluten.Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio:Dr. Berg, age 60, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. Only 0.3% of your magnesium is in your blood serum. One of the biggest mistakes people make when assessing magnesium deficiency is relying on blood magnesium levels.Over 300 medications can deplete your magnesium levels. Other factors that can cause magnesium deficiency include the following:• Stress• Sugar• Caffeine • Alcohol• High insulin • Low stomach acid• Low salt• Low vitamin DHere are 9 of the most common magnesium deficiency symptoms:1. Anxiety/panic attacks2. Waking up at 2 AM3. Eye twitching (tetany)4. Heart pounding after eating5. Exhausted from thinking 6. Random chest tightness7. Sugar or carb cravings8. Wired but tired 9. It has a 3% absorption rate and can cause diarrhea at higher doses. Magnesium glycinate combines magnesium with glycine, a protein that supports GABA in the brain, and has an absorption rate of 80%. The best time to take magnesium is late in the day. When taking more than 400 mg of magnesium, spread your doses throughout the day.To avoid magnesium deficiency, follow a low-carb diet, increase your stomach acid, and ensure you’re getting enough vitamin D.Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio:Dr. Berg, age 60, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. Why Your Blood Sugar Won't Drop (The Secret Cause)
Why is my blood sugar high? Most people think diet is the only thing affecting their blood sugar. In this video, I’ll cover the hidden causes of high blood sugar so you’ll understand why blood sugar stays high, even after quitting sugar. Download Dr. Berg’s Free Daily Health Routine: https://drbrg.co/45qtO070:00 Introduction: High blood sugar without sugar 0:31 The liver and your blood sugar1:21 Blood sugar spikes without sugar and insulin resistance explained 3:48 High glucose causes4:04 Cortisol and blood sugar4:28 Dawn phenomenon blood sugar6:39 How to fix high blood sugarIf you’ve given up sugar but your blood sugar is still high, this is for you. The liver is responsible for producing sugar for the small percentage of the body that requires it. If you have high blood sugar despite removing sugar from your diet, it is either caused by a liver problem or a stress problem. Stress increases cortisol, a hormone that stimulates the release of sugar. If you wake up in the morning with high blood sugar and did not consume any sugar the day before, this is known as the dawn phenomenon. This phenomenon is caused by a long-standing liver problem associated with insulin resistance. To fix high blood sugar, do the following:1. Low-carb diet2. Stop snacking 3. Reduce stressDr. Eric Berg DC Bio:Dr. Berg, age 60, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. Why Your Urine Stream Is Weak (And How to Fix It)
If you have a weak urine stream any time of day or night, this is for you. A weak urine stream isn’t typically caused by a urinary obstruction or a prostate problem. Discover what’s really causing your urine flow problems so you can fix the problem at the source. 👉 Download Dr. Berg's Free Daily Health Routine: https://drbrg.co/45qtO070:00 Introduction: Weak urine flow0:45 Slow urine flow causes 3:29 Urine flow problems at night4:47 Vitamin B1 to improve urine stream7:28 Slow urine flow after menopause Men are told that a weak urine flow is a prostate problem, and women are told that it’s caused by aging or childbirth, but what’s the truth? If you wake up with a weak urine flow that improves after you drink coffee, this is not a prostate problem. This is related to a problem with your autonomic nervous system and bladder.A weak urine stream can also be caused by a weak detrusor muscle. This can happen if you’re fatigued, sit frequently, or have insulin resistance. If you’re constantly stressed, your bladder problems might be related to issues with your parasympathetic nervous system. If your weak urine flow only occurs at night or in the early morning, this is related to your body’s circadian rhythm. Bethanechol is often used to treat urine flow problems. This medication primarily affects the autonomic nervous system. Vitamin B1 can naturally affect the nervous system to help with a weak urine flow.Vitamin B1 has many benefits, but you should also focus on correcting the reason you’re deficient in the first place. Following a low-carb diet, reducing your alcohol intake, and intermittent fasting can help correct insulin resistance and improve urine flow problems. Vitamin B1 can also help reduce stress levels. A weak urine stream after menopause could be related to estrogen. Estrogen greatly influences nitric oxide, which can affect vasodilation and blood flow. Sun exposure and exercise can help. Addressing your indoor lighting and sunlight exposure frequency can also help address urine flow problems associated with your circadian rhythm. They Are Poisoning Americans (And Getting Away With It)
Why are we finding Roundup in children? Glyphosate exposure in children can have devastating health consequences. In this video, learn about the toxic chemicals in American food, glyphosate health effects, and practical ways to reduce glyphosate exposure for you and your family. TEST LINK: https://detoxproject.org/ Download Dr. Berg's Free Daily Health Routine: https://drbrg.co/45qtO070:00 Introduction: Roundup in children0:38 Glyphosate controversy 3:26 Roundup, glyphosate, and other chemicals 4:23 The EPA, Monsanto, GMO, and glyphosate controversy6:50 Glyphosate health effects8:13 Roundup health risks9:18 How to avoid glyphosate exposure and pesticide residues in foodThe World Health Organization (WHO) says that glyphosate causes cancer, but the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) says it’s safe. What’s the truth?Roundup has been used in farming to kill weeds since 1974. Genetically modified crops were introduced in 1994 and were able to withstand being sprayed with glyphosate. This drastically increased glyphosate exposure and chemicals in American food. Glyphosate is also sprayed on wheat products as a drying agent right before harvesting. The WHO and the EPA have looked at the same data on glyphosate, but have come to startlingly different conclusions. In 2022, a federal court examined the EPA’s safety determination on glyphosate and determined it was not supported by substantial evidence. The EPA did not consider the animal studies that showed the connection between glyphosate and cancer, and the court deemed that this was a disregard of tumor results. Cancer is not the only health risk associated with glyphosate exposure. For years, it was argued that because glyphosate kills plants through the shikimate pathway, it is safe for humans since we do not have this pathway. However, our gut bacteria do have this pathway! Non-Hodgkin lymphoma rose by 90% between 1950 and 1999. Today, 80,000 Americans are diagnosed every year. Bayer, the company that bought Monsanto, has paid out over 11 billion dollars in Roundup cancer settlements. In 2023, Bayer removed glyphosate from at-home Roundup, replacing it with diquat dibromide, fluazifop-p-butyl, triclopyr, and imazapic. This new formulation is 200 times more toxic than glyphosate. To reduce glyphosate exposure and minimize the consumption of toxic chemicals in food, do the following:1. Opt for organic when possible 2. Replace cereals with a protein breakfast3. Support gut health with fermented foods4. Test urine for glyphosate levelsDr. Eric Berg DC Bio:Dr. Berg, age 60, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. The Dirty Secret Behind Ozempic's Weight Loss
The Ozempic weight loss drug promises rapid weight loss, but at what cost? In this video, find out why I would never take Ozempic, the Ozempic dangers they never tell you about, and the semaglutide side effects that will make you think twice about taking Ozempic. Research has shown that most people gain two-thirds of their weight back within a year of quitting Ozempic. This new weight gain is nearly all fat!Ozempic hijacks a system that already occurs naturally in your body. There are specialized cells in the digestive system called L-cells that increase GLP-1 when stimulated. GLP-1 tells the brain it’s no longer hungry, releases insulin, and slows digestion. For many people, the natural GLP-1 system is broken. To activate this system without the use of Ozempic, you’ll need to naturally trigger the L-cells and activate GLP-1. This won’t work as powerfully as Ozempic, but it can create a significant effect. To do this, consume the following:• Short-chain fatty acids • Apple cider vinegar• Fermented foods • Fiber with each meal• Omega-3 fats • Olive oil• Avocado oil • Amino acids • Bile salts (TUDCA)There are specific types of fiber that help support this process, including inulin found in garlic and onions, leeks, asparagus, artichokes, flax seeds, chia seeds, and avocados. Try replacing salad with sauerkraut to activate GLP-1. Modern medicine does not address root causes, but rather addresses symptoms that occur later in the chain of events. This holds true for Ozempic. Instead of taking Ozempic, try the following:1. Protein and fiber 2. Eliminate starches and sugar from your diet3. Walk after meals4. Consume 1-2 meals per day, no snacking5. Weight trainingDr. Eric Berg DC Bio:Dr. Berg, age 60, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. Hidden Ingredient in 60% of Junk Foods (Acts Like a Detergent)
This hidden ingredient in junk food is quietly destroying your health. Uncover the harmful food additives and food industry secrets that leave you sick, yet still hungry for more. Learn how these hidden junk food ingredients sabotage your gut health and how you can avoid them starting today.Download Dr. Berg’s Free Daily Health Routine: https://drbrg.co/45qtO07This dangerous ingredient in junk food acts as a detergent in your gut. This toxic food additive destroys the protective layer that lines your digestive tract, similar to the way dish soap removes grease from a pan. Once this protective layer is gone, you can develop a leaky gut, allowing toxic food additives, bacteria, and partially digested food into your bloodstream.Harmful food additives are often hiding in ice cream, chocolate, salad dressing, plant-based milk, bread, peanut butter, coffee creamer, mayo, baby formula, and the list goes on! This toxic ingredient is found in 60% of all packaged foods, and goes by names like polysorbate 80, carboxymethylcellulose, and carrageenan. These hidden ingredients in junk food are called emulsifiers. Emulsifiers force oil and water to mix so that the processed food appears smoother or creamy in texture and has a longer shelf life. There is a thick layer of mucus that coats the inside of the intestines, which acts as a built-in protective mechanism for your gut. Emulsifiers dissolve this protective layer over time, allowing bacteria to enter your bloodstream. Your immune system tags them as pathogens, causing an immune reaction and chronic gut inflammation. Gut health directly affects your cognitive function. If you have gut inflammation, you might experience brain fog, sluggishness, and the inability to think clearly after eating. In animal studies, polysorbate 80 caused metabolic syndrome, weight gain, blood sugar problems, and altered gut bacteria. Although no long-term human studies have been published, a human trial published in 2024 found that participants had altered gut microbiomes after just 2 weeks of eating emulsifiers. In the US, food additives can be self-classified as generally recognized as safe (GRAS). Junk food companies do not have to submit long-term human trials to the FDA. The easy solution to this problem is to avoid ultra-processed foods. Instead of focusing on willpower and discipline, avoid buying junk foods altogether. The #1 Nutrient That STOPS Heart Palpitations Fast
Heart palpitations don’t usually mean heart damage. In this video, I’ll uncover the true underlying causes of heart palpitations and share simple heart health tips to address your heart rhythm problems. Download Dr. Berg’s Free Daily Health Routine: https://drbrg.co/45qtO07Heart palpitations and heart rhythm problems are an electrolyte issue. Electrolytes are minerals that allow electricity to travel through the nervous system. Unfortunately, doctors rarely look at electrolytes as part of the problem.A magnesium deficiency is one of the most likely causes of heart palpitations. The majority of people with heart palpitations have normal EKG tests and echocardiogram results. If you have chest pains, fainting, or known heart disease, get these symptoms checked.A skipped or extra heartbeat is known as a heart palpitation. This may cause a strange sensation in your chest, cause you to take a breath, or even cause dizziness. This is caused by an unstable electrical rhythm. This does not mean your heart is failing or that you have any structural failure at all. Calcium causes contraction of the heart muscle. Too much calcium can also cause twitches, cramps, insomnia, and anxiety. Magnesium is the master controller of calcium, and the most important electrolyte for nerve stability. A magnesium deficiency rarely shows up in a blood test. When the demand for magnesium increases, you might experience palpitations. The most common trigger for heart palpitations is stress. Magnesium acts as a buffer to adrenaline and cortisol, so the demand increases when you’re stressed. In addition to stress, there are many things that can increase the demand for magnesium, including the following:• Poor sleep• Unstable blood sugar• Hormonal shifts• ExerciseMagnesium excretion can also cause magnesium deficiency, leading to heart palpitations. Caffeine, a low-carb diet, heavy sweating, and alcohol can cause magnesium excretion.Simply not getting enough magnesium from your diet or water source can also contribute to heart palpitations. Salad, chocolate, avocado, and nuts are the best sources of magnesium. When you consume ultra-processed foods that are devoid of nutrition, you deplete magnesium. Magnesium glycinate is a highly absorbable form of magnesium that can help increase GABA and reduce cortisol levels. Start with 400 mg of magnesium daily and increase if necessary. When taking more than 400 mg, spread your doses throughout the day.Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio:Dr. Berg, age 60, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. Stop the Addiction Impulse in 60 Seconds (Here’s How)
What causes addiction, and why is it so hard to quit? Discover precisely how addiction works in the brain, the powerful connection between addiction and dopamine, and what’s really driving your cravings. In this video, I’ll show you how to break the addiction cycle with practical steps that can help you regain control.Download Dr. Berg’s Free Daily Health Routine: https://drbrg.co/45qtO070:00 Introduction: Addiction explained0:52 How addiction works in the brain2:40 Why addiction is so hard to quit3:34 How to break addiction cycles 6:35 Addiction recovery tips8:09 Nicotine addiction explained9:00 Changing your environment to break addiction10:18 What causes addiction? 11:24 More addiction recovery tipsWhether you’re addicted to smoking, alcohol, porn, sugar, social media, or gambling, attempting to quit often makes matters worse, but why? When you drink alcohol, for example, you feel happier and less stressed. Dopamine then tags alcohol as something that increases survival, and the more you consume, the stronger the drive.Dopamine and glutamate are the hormones involved with addiction. When glutamate levels are too high, you may experience abnormal body sensations, agitation, pressure, compulsion, and obsession. When you ignore this, your fight or flight mechanism kicks in, and your symptoms worsen. When you experience withdrawal symptoms as you’re trying to break an addiction, try the following steps:1. Rate the intensity of the urge on a scale of 0-102. Locate or point to the affected part of your body3. Describe it to yourself4. Repeat When you repeat the process, you'll notice that the intensity of the sensations decreases. This process helps you differentiate yourself from your addiction. The more you define your addiction and separate yourself from it, the less it will affect you. N-acetylcysteine (NAC) significantly reduces glutamate spikes. Try taking 600-2400 mg of NAC per day, depending on the severity of the problem. Magnesium glycinate can increase GABA, which reduces cortisol and the fight-or-flight response. If you’re a smoker, vitamin B1 and potassium can help. Changing your environment is vital to breaking the cycle of addiction. Problems with sleep, exercise, or blood sugar can make someone more vulnerable to developing an addiction. Coincidentally, increasing exercise, getting plenty of sleep, and following a low-carb diet can help break the cycle. Oxytocin can act as a safety net when you’re experiencing withdrawal symptoms. Increase oxytocin with hugs, pets, bonding with friends and family, and L. Reuteri yogurt. Age Spots Are NOT Normal Aging
You’ve been lied to about age spots. Skin discoloration known as age spots isn’t just “sun spots" and is not simply the result of getting older. In this video, I’ll show you how to get rid of age spots naturally by addressing the root cause. Download Dr. Berg’s Free Daily Health Routine: https://drbrg.co/45qtO070:00 Introduction: What causes age spots?0:37 Age spots on hands and face 1:15 Age spot causes 2:16 Oxidative stress and hyperpigmentation3:56 Selenium and dark spots on skin6:45 Copper and age spots7:54 Clear skin tips If you have age spots on your face and hands, you’re often offered lasers or creams that don’t work or make matters worse. Hyperpigmentation, or age spots, is caused by melanin, the naturally occurring pigment in your skin that protects you from ultraviolet light and free radical damage. Dark spots on the skin are actually a protective mechanism.Melanin spots are caused by uneven melanin production, which means there’s a problem with the regulator in the melanocyte, the cell that produces melanin. This is often caused by oxidative stress. Glutathione regulates melanin and reduces oxidation. Without enough glutathione, you can’t regulate melanin, which can lead to melanin spots. Low selenium can cause your glutathione levels to decline. Two Brazil nuts per day offer all the selenium you need. You can also get selenium from shellfish. High-quality animal protein is vital for glutathione production. The demand for glutathione increases in menopausal women. If you’re dealing with chronic stress, you’ll also need more glutathione. Copper is a trace mineral that helps your body make melanin. Too much or too little copper can cause issues with melanin production. Zinc can help regulate copper. After working to increase your glutathione levels, it can take 30 days to 6 weeks to see improvement in your hyperpigmentation. In the meantime, try a vitamin C serum to address dark spots on the skin topically. Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio:Dr. Berg, age 60, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. They KNEW This About Fluoride (And Kept Adding It Anyway)
Is toothpaste safe to swallow? In this video, I’ll explain the dangers of swallowing toothpaste, the risks of fluoride toxicity, and what fluoride in your water supply could be doing to your health. Why are toxic ingredients in toothpaste and drinking water? Let’s take a look at some of the dangers of swallowing toothpaste and the toxic effects of fluoride.Dental fluorosis is a common developmental defect caused by excessive fluoride exposure in children. It’s characterized by white spots and lines on the teeth due to damaged enamel. Around 40% of children will experience dental fluorosis when consuming water with optimal fluoride levels. When you use fluoridated toothpaste or drink fluoridated water, it’s absorbed systemically into the body. Fluoride accumulates in certain tissues, such as the brain, thyroid, bones, and kidneys. Research has shown that higher fluoride exposure is associated with lower IQs in children. You might assume that the fluoride added to your water is safer because it’s in the water supply, but this isn't true. The fluoride in our water supply is a byproduct of phosphate fertilizer production! Many industries repurpose industrial waste to boost profits, including the corn, sewage, petroleum, and seed oil industries. Use a water filter certified for fluoride reduction to avoid fluoride toxicity and minimize exposure. If It’s Not Aging, Then What’s Causing It?
The #1 Healthiest Food on Earth
Find out about the best food for gut health that acts as a powerful immunity booster and even contains natural stem cells. No supplement or superfood comes close to this healthiest food on Earth! Can you guess what it is? 👉 Download Dr. Berg’s Free Daily Health Routine: https://drbrg.co/45qtO070:00 Introduction: The healthiest food on Earth 1:10 The benefits of breast milk2:34 Colostrum benefits2:50 Infant formula vs. breast milk3:38 Heavy metals in baby formula5:04 The healthiest foods The healthiest food on Earth isn’t just a food; it teaches the immune system, trains the gut microbiome, and even adapts to your environment. Nothing else comes close. It contains immune cells, hormones, and even stem cells.Breast milk is the healthiest food on Earth, the best food for gut health, and one of the best foods for the immune system. Half of the mother’s immune system is given to the infant through breast milk. If you were breastfed, you have a much stronger immune system and a decreased risk of autoimmune disease and allergies. Adults can take colostrum to strengthen the immune system and support gut microbiome health. Colostrum supports the gut barrier and protects against leaky gut.Infant formula is an ultra-processed food for babies and is the first ultra-processed food a child is exposed to. It provides the baby with calories without considering their quality. RFK and HHS have been looking into heavy metals in baby food. Some of the ingredients in baby formulas are like sponges for heavy metals, which can have devastating health consequences for babies. Infant formulas typically contain industrial seed oils, refined sugars, synthetic vitamins, and processed protein.Fermented dairy, such as kefir, yogurt, and raw milk cheese, is the best alternative to breast milk and one of the healthiest foods you can eat as an adult. The protein in fermented dairy is broken down, so it’s very easy to digest. It’s a potent immunity booster that can help prevent an overactive immune system and contains vital nutrients such as vitamin K2, calcium, vitamins B2 and B12, folate, and biotin. Fermented dairy is one of the best probiotic foods, helping to reseed the gut and create a better environment in your gut microbiome. It also increases T-reg cells to prevent immune overreaction.Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio:Dr. Berg, age 60, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. Stop Waking Up at 3AM (Fix This Before Bed)
The real reason you wake up at 3:00 AM every night is not an adrenal problem. Insulin resistance is the most common reason the liver cannot supply the brain with glucose at night. If you have a liver problem, you’ll have massive blood sugar swings throughout the night. When insulin lowers this excess blood sugar, adrenaline quickly mobilizes stored sugar, which wakes you up. The first blood sugar swing is caused by cortisol, and often occurs between midnight and 1 AM. To fix this problem and allow cortisol to spike at the right time, morning sun exposure is vital. You should also begin turning down your inside lights about 3 hours before bed to avoid stimulating more cortisol. Darkness stimulates the production of melatonin, which helps you sleep. As we age, we lose sleep pressure. Try the following sleep tips to help restore this pressure:1. Exercise regularly 2. Avoid stimulants3. Take magnesium glycinate and zinc in the eveningInsulin resistance is often the underlying cause of liver problems, but they can also be caused by consuming seed oils, sugar, and starch. A diet low in choline and sulfur, late-night snacking, and alcohol can also damage the liver. Some people have sleep problems when they start the keto diet while their brain adjusts from running on glucose to ketones. If this happens to you, try lowering your carbs more gradually. Try these simple sleep tips to sleep better and stop waking up at night:1. Stop eating 4 hours before bed 2. Increase choline in the diet: egg yolks, liver, grass-fed meat, salmon, cruciferous vegetables3. Increase sulfur in the diet: garlic, onion, cruciferous vegetables4. Support gallbladder health: arugula, dandelion greens, bitter foods, TUDCA5. Follow a low-carb diet6. The Vitamin D DANGER They Ignored (For Profit)
Is vitamin D safe to take at high doses, or will it cause toxicity? Vitamin D fear is common, but what about the fear of vitamin D deficiency? Discover the vitamin D truth you’ve been searching for, and the real reason why there’s so much vitamin D misinformation. 👉 Download Dr. Berg’s Free Daily Health Routine: https://drbrg.co/45qtO070:00 Introduction: Vitamin D myths and misinformation 0:55 Is vitamin D a vitamin? 1:41 Vitamin D explained 3:03 How much vitamin D should I take?3:30 What’s behind the vitamin D controversy? 7:46 Vitamin D toxicity 8:05 Vitamin D deficiency symptomsHistorically, humans were exposed to daily, intense, unfiltered sunlight without any sunscreen. We’ve been convinced that the sun is dangerous and that taking too much vitamin D is risky.Vitamin D is not really a vitamin! You cannot get nearly enough vitamin D from food. When you’re exposed to the sun, your skin makes vitamin D with the help of cholesterol. Vitamin D acts like a hormone and turns on over 1000 different genes! There are two systems of vitamin D. The first system supports bone and calcium regulation, and requires the liver and kidneys for conversion into its active form. The autocrine or paracrine system is rarely talked about. Through this second system, inactive vitamin D bypasses the kidneys and liver and is converted into its active form inside the cell. This system of vitamin D supports the immune system, brain, muscles, nervous system, breast tissue, colon, and prostate. This system needs 8000 to 10,000 IU of vitamin D every day, while the other system only requires 600 to 800 IU every 3 weeks.Vitamin D can significantly reduce cancer risk, posing a threat to the cancer drug industry, which makes over 300 billion dollars in revenue each year. Similarly, the Coimbra protocol is very effective at reversing autoimmune disease, which attacks another multi-billion-dollar industry. Vitamin D has also been shown to be beneficial for diabetes, high blood pressure, and depression.Vitamin D toxicity is rare and would require extremely high doses of vitamin D taken for many months. The main problem associated with vitamin D toxicity is too much calcium in the blood, which can lead to kidney stones. Vitamin D deficiency is incredibly common and can lead to immune suppression, decreased cognitive function, increased risk of cancer, and more. Vitamin D research often ignores the important cofactors magnesium and vitamin K2, which protect you from excess calcium accumulation. How Cholesterol Was Made Scary
Is cholesterol bad? Is low cholesterol safe? In this video, we’ll cover common cholesterol misinformation, how cholesterol was demonized, and the cholesterol truth you need to know now for better health. 👉 Download Dr. Berg’s Free Daily Health Routine: https://drbrg.co/45qtO070:00 Introduction: When was cholesterol made scary?0:21 Cholesterol truth1:49 Two types of cholesterol 3:19 What causes high cholesterol?3:44 Statin drug side effects5:57 Cholesterol and heart disease6:34 The problem with low cholesterol Our bodies make 3000 mg of cholesterol each day! Babies are born with higher cholesterol, and our brain is composed of it. Cholesterol is vital for our cell membranes, hormones, vitamin D, bile salts, repair, and immunity. Cholesterol isn’t a poison; it’s an essential building block! When a doctor measures your cholesterol, they’re measuring the cholesterol in the blood, not what’s deep in the cells. There are two types of cholesterol: HDL and LDL. HDL carries cholesterol from the cells back to the liver for recycling, while LDL delivers cholesterol to the cells. There are two types of LDL cholesterol: small, dense LDL and large, buoyant LDL. Only an advanced lipid profile can discern the difference.Small, dense LDL particles can cause inflammation and other problems, but this typically occurs only when your glucose is high or you have insulin resistance. If you’re on a low-carb diet and you don’t have insulin resistance, you’ll have more large, buoyant LDL. If you have high levels of large, buoyant LDL, it is not pathogenic!Cholesterol is a building block of the precursor of cortisol, so if you’re dealing with stress, it could be the reason your cholesterol is high. Testosterone is also made from cholesterol, so if you take a drug to lower cholesterol, your testosterone levels may suffer. If you have low cholesterol, you won’t produce enough bile. This will interfere with your ability to absorb fat, and you also won’t have enough raw material to make vitamin D. High cholesterol is not a disease! If your cholesterol is high, it’s important to understand why. Consuming refined sugar and starch can raise your cholesterol and triglyceride levels. Inflammation and your body’s repair needs can also increase your levels. Low cholesterol in older adults is associated with higher rates of death from all causes. Low cholesterol is linked to lowered immunity, depression, memory, and hormone issues. Cholesterol naturally rises in the winter and decreases in the summer. This could be related to your need for vitamin D. Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio:Dr. Berg, age 60, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. Why Your House is Making you Sick and Tired

The circadian rhythm is a clock controlled by light and dark signals. In our modern-day environment, the days are too dim and the nights are too bright. During the day, sunlight is filtered through glass, preventing exposure to UV and infrared light, and at night, we’re exposed to LED lights, TVs, phones, and tablets. We’re dealing with a lack of contrast! Historically, humans were exposed to significantly more light during the day and minimal light at night. Modern lighting leads to melatonin suppression and affects your sleep and cortisol levels. Most people are not getting the restful sleep that they need. This affects the metabolism, insulin, blood sugar, and mood. Research has shown that bright nighttime light exposure can increase your risk of type 2 diabetes. Increasing sunlight exposure alone can improve your blood sugar, while evening bright light exposure can worsen it. Constant lighting is even considered psychologically harmful. Humans have evolved with significantly more light contrast, so we’re dealing with an ancestral mismatch. To restore your circadian rhythm and combat the harmful effects of indoor lighting, try the following:1. Make your days aggressively brightEnsure adequate sun exposure before noon, and avoid wearing sunglasses. 2. Make the night genuinely dark Turn off overhead lighting, use soft night-lights, and dim screens 3 hours before bed.3. Restore contrast Focus on bright light during the day and remove light sources from your room at night. Replace light bulbs with incandescent lights if possible. Addressing the problems with modern light is one of the easiest ways to improve sleep naturally and restore your circadian rhythm. Discover the most important detox mineral to help support your body’s natural detoxification pathways.👉 Download Dr. Berg’s Free Daily Health Routine: https://drbrg.co/45qtO070:00 Introduction: The most important detox mineral0:30 Glutathione explained 4:40 The best detox mineral4:56 Benefits of selenium6:27 Selenium sources7:29 Bile and detoxification 9:04 How to detox naturallyPeople often think they’re dealing with toxin overload when the problem is with detoxification. Glutathione is the master detoxification enzyme of the entire body. It protects the mitochondria, keeps hydrogen peroxide in check, protects cell membranes, and supports the function of other antioxidants in the body. When your glutathione is low, you can not eliminate toxins. Glutathione’s most important function in your body is to protect your mitochondria. Many chronic illnesses are associated with mitochondrial damage, including cancer. Toxins attack the electron transport chain in the mitochondria, which generates energy. You need energy to detoxify your body! Glutathione helps the body eliminate fat-soluble toxins. It also helps prevent damage to cellular membranes caused by seed oils.Glutathione supplements are poorly absorbed and break down very quickly. To make glutathione, you need the amino acids cysteine and glycine. You also need selenium, the most important mineral for detox, which is intimately involved in activating glutathione. Selenium is also vital for thyroid function. If your thyroid is under-functioning, you won’t produce adequate bile, and you won’t be able to detoxify. The best source of selenium is Brazil nuts. Two per day supplies all the selenium that you need. Other foods high in selenium include Eggs, organ meats, Cruciferous vegetables, Shellfish, and Fish.Modern-day soils do not have adequate selenium, so it’s easy to become deficient. This can compromise your body’s detoxification pathways, thyroid function, immune function, and more.Healthy bile flow is vital for detoxification. If you decide to go on a detox, try taking TUDCA a few days beforehand. There are two types of bile—one is made by the liver, and the other is made by your microbes. Issues with your microbiome could also lead to low bile levels. To support natural detoxification, focus on the following:• Adequate bile• Healthy thyroid• Selenium• Healthy microbiomeDr. Eric Berg DC Bio:Dr. Berg, age 60, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. The Truth About Vitamin C (It’s Not What You Think)
Vitamin C is well-known for its immune health benefits, but is vitamin C really a vitamin at all? In this video, I’ll cover health facts about vitamin C, including the benefits, the symptoms of vitamin C deficiency, and how you can increase your levels. 👉 Download Dr. Berg's Free Daily Health Routine: https://drbrg.co/45qtO070:00 Introduction: What is vitamin C?0:16 Vitamin C explained1:16 Vitamin C deficiency 1:53 Vitamin C supplements 3:00 Vitamin C science 3:34 Vitamin C deficiency symptoms 6:01 Sources of vitamin C7:32 How to increase your vitamin C levels What if I told you that vitamin C isn’t a vitamin at all? Vitamin C is a stress survival molecule! The body uses vitamin C when it’s under certain types of stress, such as:• Infection • Inflammation • Injury • Emotional stress • Physical stress• Low oxygen If you’re on a high-sugar or high-carb diet, vitamin C will not work as efficiently in your body. Humans cannot produce vitamin C, and rely entirely on dietary sources. Around 90% of vitamin C supplements are synthetic and produced from corn sugar in factories, mostly manufactured overseas. Synthetic vitamin C is incredibly cheap, costing the producer around 30 cents per bottle. Check your vitamin C labels to ensure it’s not just ascorbic acid. The vitamin C molecule is structurally similar to sugar and enters the cell in the same way. So if you consume a lot of sugar or carbs, you won’t be able to adequately absorb vitamin C. Vitamin C supports the mitochondria, which is why you might feel fatigued if you’re deficient. It helps you handle stress, recycle other antioxidants, and absorb iron, leaving you feeling tired, weak, foggy, and unable to recover if you don’t have enough. Vitamin C also helps your cells properly respond to oxygen.Scurvy is the end-stage of a severe vitamin C deficiency. Subclinical scurvy is a modern-day issue characterized by slow healing, easy bruising, frequent infections, chronic fatigue, and chronic inflammation. Bleeding gums are also a common symptom of vitamin C deficiency. Some of the best sources of vitamin C are bell peppers, papaya, and raw sauerkraut. Heat and oxygen exposure degrade vitamin C, so pasteurized orange juice often lacks it. Fermented vegetables, especially sauerkraut, are loaded with vitamin C. To increase your vitamin C levels and avoid vitamin C deficiency:• Consume ½ cup of fermented vegetables daily• Consume bell peppers• Reduce stress• Reduce sugar intake• Go on a low-carb diet Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio:Dr. Berg, age 60, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. I Tried Extreme Celebrity Biohacks (Here’s What Actually Works)
I’ve tried some of the most extreme celebrity biohacks, and today I’m sharing my results. Just so you know, my full line of high-quality supplements is available on Amazon — search Dr. Berg Supplements.👉 Download Dr. Berg’s Free Daily Health Routine: https://drbrg.co/45qtO07 0:00 Introduction: Extreme celebrity biohacks 0:49 Peptides2:39 Stem cells 6:04 Fitness biohacks8:38 Ozone therapy 9:19 Dry fasting11:40 Ice baths 14:03 Do celebrity health hacks really work? 1. PeptidesPeptides are injectables used by athletes and celebrities for a wide range of health issues. I tried them for my osteoarthritis, but didn’t notice much change. Myofascial stretching is much more effective for osteoarthritis. Omega-3 fatty acids, cod liver, and eliminating seed oils from your diet can also be beneficial. 2. Stem cellsStem cell therapy is very expensive, and the small improvements were not worth the cost for me. Instead, try prolonged fasting to stimulate stem cells naturally. 3. Intermittent hypoxic/hyperoxic training This involves using a mask to strategically increase or decrease your oxygen intake during exercise. Reducing your oxygen intake during exercise mimics high-altitude training. As your cells become oxygen-deprived, your body generates new capillaries, increasing oxygen delivery to certain parts of the body. This can be incredibly beneficial for inflammation. To mimic the benefits of hypoxic training without the price tag, try a high-altitude training mask. 4. Ozone therapy Ozone therapy involves removing your blood, oxygenating it, and reinjecting it. This can be good for hidden infections, but try exercise, saunas, cruciferous vegetables, intermittent fasting, and prolonged fasting to naturally strengthen your body’s detoxification systems instead. 5. Dry fastingFasting without food or water can trigger survival genes, creating an intense effect on the body. You also burn more fat when you don’t drink water. Body fat is converted to water, called biological water, during a dry fast. 6. Ice bathsIce baths lower your body temperature, producing a therapeutic effect. I’ve found this to be incredibly beneficial for inflammation and arthritis, and have even noticed improvements in cognitive function and mood after an ice bath. Ice baths can also help boost weight loss!Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio:Dr. Berg, age 60, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. This Bill Could Bankrupt You for Speaking Out
Sign the petition here: https://www.mahaaction.com/bill-details?id=1911402What happens if you’re no longer allowed to say that sugar is harmful? The new Florida agriculture bill could silence health critics and restrict discussion about food and pesticide health risks. This is a big deal! Just so you know, my full line of high-quality supplements is available on Amazon — search Dr. Berg Supplements.👉 Download Dr. Berg’s Free Daily Health Routine: https://drbrg.co/45qtO07 A new bill is being proposed to control who is allowed to speak about agriculture. This bill uses defamation as a weapon and essentially bans freedom of speech about the health effects of certain foods.Florida already has a law allowing farmers to sue someone who spreads false information about food. These discussions are referred to as "food libel" or "food disparagement." Investigative journalists have uncovered internal documents from large agricultural and chemical companies that have shown the real goal of the food disparagement law. It’s not about protecting the farmers; it’s about silencing health critics. This bill aims to silence environmental groups, journalists, activists, and scientists by making lawsuits so expensive and daunting that critics will simply give up. The term for this approach is called “chilling free speech." The old law applied only to perishable foods, while the new bill removes that classification. This expands the law to all agricultural products, including sugar. What’s even worse, this law includes any agricultural practices used in production. This means the criticism of pesticides, insecticides, fungicides, fertilizers, chemical runoff, water contamination, and more can all be treated as disparagement. It’s well known that sugar causes insulin resistance, fatty liver, chronic inflammation, type 2 diabetes, and more. The connection between sugar and chronic disease is not a rumor. If this bill is passed and someone speaks out about sugar or pesticides, even if it's true, they could be sued!Although this bill is coming out of Florida, it's important regardless of where you live because Florida crops are sold nationwide! Legal experts warn that this could open the door to lawsuits that go way beyond the state. We do not need more legal protection for powerful industries or increased corporate control of food.Think about what ultra-processed food companies can get away with if this bill is passed! If you believe ultra-processed foods are at the root of over 80% of chronic disease, please sign this petition. If you live in Florida, call your representative and complain! The ONE Exercise to Correct Flat Feet
Flat feet are not genetic! Flat feet correction and prevention are simpler than you think. Discover the one exercise to fix flat feet and restore your foot’s arch naturally, along with some easy flat foot exercises to strengthen the arches of your feet. 0:00 Introduction: Exercises for flat feet 0:27 Foot arch function1:38 The best flat feet fix 2:27 More exercises for flat feet 3:26 Flat foot prevention in children4:04 Vitamin D, K2, magnesium, and flat feetIn this video, I’m going to show you the best flat foot fix that you can do at home. You’re born with flat feet and develop an arch when you’re around 6 to 10 years old. Some people develop a fallen arch as they age because they don't exercise the muscles that strengthen the arches of the feet. The purpose of your foot’s arch is to provide it with free energy. It acts as a preloaded spring when you walk, climb, or run. You can still walk if you've lost your arch, but other muscles will be recruited. The quads and PSOAS muscles will compensate for flat feet, and the hamstrings, glutes, and lower back will be underused and become weaker. Sprinting is the best exercise for flat feet, helping restore the foot arch naturally. Even if sprinting is difficult initially, you can improve within 6 to 8 weeks. Jogging is one of the worst exercises for flat feet! Strengthen the arches of the feet with these exercises and build up to sprinting:• A skipping• B skipping• High knees• Butt kicks When sprinting, sprint at 60% intensity, doing 2 to 3 sprints for 15 seconds each. To prevent flat feet in children, allow them to play in the grass or a safe environment without shoes to strengthen the arches of their feet. Look for shoes with thinner soles; barefoot shoes are best. Also, ensure there’s enough space for the toes to move. This improves posture by strengthening the glutes and taking pressure off the lower back. Low vitamin D, K2, and magnesium early in life can contribute to flat feet. Why Magnesium Isn’t Working for You (It’s NOT the Magnesium)
Is your magnesium not working, even though you’re taking it daily? Discover why magnesium is not working, how to choose the best type of magnesium, improve magnesium absorption, and avoid common magnesium supplement mistakes in this video. If you’re taking magnesium for sleep and other benefits, yet you’re still dealing with insomnia, fatigue, high blood pressure, heart palpitations, leg cramps, anxiety, and more, this is for you. Magnesium is one of the most important minerals in the body. It’s involved in over 300 biochemical reactions and is vital for the following: • Heart rhythm• Healthy blood pressure levels• Sleep • Energy• Insulin • Nerve function • Mitochondrial functionHere are 8 common mistakes people make with magnesium, which could be the reason why your magnesium supplements are not working! 1. Thinking magnesium works by itself Magnesium and vitamin D are codependent. You need 4,000 to 10,000 IUs of vitamin D for magnesium to work properly in the body. If you don’t have enough vitamin B6, potassium, or sodium, it may seem that your magnesium is not working. 2. Ignoring cell membrane damageMany people have damaged cell membranes due to the consumption of seed oils. You need healthy cell membranes for magnesium absorption. 3. Stress Stress shuts down digestion, lowers immunity, decreases blood flow to certain organs, and increases the demand for magnesium. Caffeine can also deplete magnesium.4. Taking the wrong type of magnesium Magnesium oxide is the most common form of magnesium in supplements, but it’s the worst! Magnesium glycinate is a much better option and is the most absorbable. 5. Blocking magnesium absorption without knowingToo much calcium can block the absorption of magnesium. Zinc, fluoride, and aluminum can inhibit its function. Low stomach acid, antacids, and acid blockers can also interfere with magnesium absorption. 6. Misunderstanding RDAsRDAs do not represent a therapeutic dose. If you’re trying to correct a magnesium deficiency, you need significantly more magnesium than the RDA. If you want to increase your magnesium intake, spread your doses throughout the day, as you can only absorb around 300 to 400 mg at once.7. Unrealistic expectations Vitamins and minerals do not work like drugs. It can sometimes take a while to restore healthy biochemistry in the body. 8. Missing the insulin connection Insulin resistance can block magnesium absorption, and consequently, a magnesium deficiency can increase your risk of insulin resistance. Why You Are REALLY Depressed During Winter: NOT Vitamin D
Have you been hit by the winter blues, despite adequate vitamin D intake? Uncover the real cause of winter depression beyond your vitamin D levels and fix your winter mood problems naturally and effectively.👉 Download Dr. Berg’s Free Daily Health Routine: https://drbrg.co/45qtO07 If you’re taking vitamin D3 in the winter, yet still feeling depressed, this video is for you. The key difference between the winter and summer months is sunlight. Sunlight doesn’t just give us vitamin D; it’s involved in over 2000 genes, including those that trigger serotonin and melatonin, affecting the thyroid, microbiome, and more. Depression is the inability to feel pleasure or a higher state of emotion. Fortunately, there are many ways to elevate someone’s emotional state without the use of medication. Winter darkness pushes us inside and often exposes us to significantly more artificial light, which can affect our hormones and sleep. Colder temperatures also affect our physiology. Seasonal affective disorder is a condition that results from this misaligned circadian wave. Morning light is one of the key ways to solve winter depression and properly start your circadian wave for the day!Winter doesn’t just affect your mood; it desynchronizes your entire biology. Winter depression is often caused by a combination of factors, including:• Lack of sunlight • Imbalance of melatonin• Vitamin D deficiency • Artificial light • Decreased serotonin levels • Decreased melatonin levels Vitamin D is vital for the proper function of serotonin and dopamine in the body. Adequate vitamin D levels reduce inflammation in the brain and protect you against mitochondrial damage. The winter months can take a serious toll on your thyroid. The thyroid can’t always quickly adjust to the lack of sun and colder temperatures. This can affect your immune function and mood, and can also cause cold intolerance, brain fog, and weight gain. The microbiome is also affected by cold temperatures and lack of sunlight. Pair this with dietary changes associated with wintertime and holidays, and the microbiome shifts. We are not meant to eat sweets during this time, even fruit. It’s vital to eat what’s in season for a healthy microbiome. To fix winter depression, focus on the following:1 Sunlight exposure (morning light) 2. Don’t eat or buy junk food 3. This Was Destroying My Life (My Secret Confession)
I survived the world’s unhealthiest diet! Find out how I went from eating the unhealthiest foods in the world to finally getting my health on track. In this video, I’ll show you which foods contribute to insulin resistance and how you can shift from an ultra-processed diet to a healthy one. Download Dr. Berg’s Free Daily Health Routine: https://drbrg.co/45qtO07 0:00 Introduction: The unhealthiest diet in the world 1:30 Side effects of an unhealthy diet 2:41 Dopamine and sugar overload4:32 Environment and the processed food diet 6:28 How to quit sugar and junk food My entire childhood was filled with sugar, starch, seed oils, sweetened cereals, candy, soda, TV dinners, and more. As I got older, I’d graze after dinner until bedtime every single night. I consumed junk food and refined foods in the military while my life was high in stress and low in sleep. In college, I dealt with more stress, drank lots of coffee, and ate more junk food. Side effects of my unhealthy diet included:• Ulcers • Liver and gallbladder problems • Referred pain in the right shoulder • Restless legs syndrome• Nervousness • Insomnia • Dry eyes • Severe arthritis • Kidney stones I weighed 211 pounds, but the food I was eating was not satisfying! Refined carbs and sugar stimulate dopamine, which is not a pleasure neurotransmitter. Dopamine is an anticipatory neurotransmitter. The more you have, the more your body wants. If you eat too much junk food, you can develop dopamine resistance. This is what drives addiction, and why ultra-processed foods may satisfy you initially, but leave you feeling hungry an hour later. This is called dopamine hunger! You’re not struggling with your diet because of a lack of willpower; it’s your environment. The modern world is engineered with so many things to keep us hooked and addicted. Removing the triggers is the only solution!Ditch your unhealthy diet by focusing on your environment first. Try these steps:1. Get rid of ultra-processed foods: seed oils, starches, and sugar.2. No snacking, especially at night.3. No visible food.4. Find healthy substitutes for junk food.5. No blue light at night.6. Never go to the grocery store hungry or without a list. 7. Preserve your sleep.8. Be careful with social events. AVOID This If You Have High Blood Pressure
Herbal supplements are generally safe, but are there some dangerous herbs you should be aware of? Discover the natural remedy that can cause high blood pressure in certain people, and what to take instead. 👉 Download Dr. Berg’s Free Daily Health Routine: https://drbrg.co/45qtO07 0:00 Introduction: Natural herb to avoid if you have high blood pressure0:30 Licorice and blood pressure health 1:40 Sodium, potassium, and hypertension explained3:43 How much licorice will affect your blood pressure? 4:10 Licorice uses and benefits4:38 DGL (deglycyrrhizinated licorice)6:02 Dangerous herbs If you consume too much of this herb, it can cause you to retain sodium and flush potassium. You could also experience muscle cramps and heart arrhythmias!Licorice is commonly consumed in tea and candy, and some people take licorice root for adrenal health. Licorice contains a compound called glycyrrhizin, which blocks an enzyme in your body that protects you from producing too much cortisol. When you don’t have this enzyme, cortisol rises. Our bodies are designed to retain sodium because sodium hasn’t always been readily available. Today, we get plenty of sodium and not enough potassium. You need 4700 mg of potassium per day, a key electrolyte for heart health. It also helps generate energy in the nerves and muscles, protects against blood sugar issues, and helps store glycogen in your liver. Licorice supplements should not be taken daily, especially if you’re older, have high blood pressure, or are on certain medications like diuretics or Prednisone. Two cups of licorice tea per day may be enough to start shifting your body's electrolyte balance. Similarly, 100 mg of licorice candy daily for 2 weeks can also be problematic. One dose is not dangerous, but chronic low doses of licorice can build up in the body. Natural remedies are very powerful but not always completely safe for everyone. Licorice has been used for thousands of years as a remedy for ulcers, coughs, inflammation, infections, and more. DGL is a type of licorice without glycyrrhizin that can provide the benefits of licorice without affecting your blood pressure. If you’re having negative side effects from taking licorice, simply stop taking it and your symptoms should resolve. Most natural remedies can be very beneficial, and negative side effects are generally rare. The Real Reason You’re Anxious (It’s Not What You Think)
Your anxiety is not in your head! Discover the hidden causes of anxiety disorder to finally say goodbye to anxiety symptoms for good. Stop anxiety attacks before they start by addressing the root cause. 👉 Download Dr. Berg’s Free Daily Health Routine: https://drbrg.co/45qtO07 0:00 Introduction: Why anxiety isn’t in your head0:29 Anxiety explained 2:16 Blood sugar anxiety 2:45 Cortisol and anxiety5:01 Poor sleep and chronic anxiety6:48 Stimulants and anxiety Anxiety has nothing to do with what's going on in your head and everything to do with what’s going on in your body!Anxiety is a state or condition of worry, indecision, fear, and tension. Anxiety symptoms often involve feelings or concerns that something bad is going to happen. Anxiety interferes with your ability to feel comfortable in your own skin, your sleep, and your overall state of well-being. Anxiety can directly affect your body, keeping you in a state of fight or flight. A heart rate variability test can determine how often your body is in this state. So, what causes anxiety? Here are five common causes. 1. Low blood sugar If your blood sugar is too low, you will have anxiety. When your blood sugar is low, your brain isn't getting fuel, which sends your body into panic mode. This increases cortisol and adrenaline, which causes the liver to release sugar so the brain can get fuel. Removing sugar from the diet and replacing it with high-quality protein, healthy fats, and vegetables can help fix this issue. 2. Lack of sleepPoor sleep increases cortisol, causing you to feel grouchiness, unnecessary worry, and anxiety. Blood sugar problems could also be the reason you aren’t sleeping well. 3. Low vitamin B1Vitamin B1, or thiamine, is one of the most important vitamins for your nervous system and brain. Anxiety and nervous tension are often the result of a deficiency in this vitamin. 4. StimulantsToo much caffeine affects your nervous system and depletes vitamin B1. Chocolate, coffee, and certain medications contain stimulants that can cause anxiety. 5. Low proteinProtein isn’t just important for fuel, it’s vital for our body’s biochemistry. If you feel better after eating protein, low protein could be the cause of your anxiety.Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio:Dr. Berg, age 60, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. ½ Teaspoon of This Works Like Ibuprofen (Doctors Won’t Tell You)
Just a half teaspoon of this natural anti-inflammatory acts as a potent ibuprofen substitute for inflammation and pain relief. Discover the best home remedies for pain and inflammation, and learn how to address inflammation at the root. 0:00 Introduction: Natural ibuprofen substitute 0:18 Curcumin, the natural anti-inflammatory 1:58 Pain relievers and ibuprofen comparison 2:08 Ibuprofen effects 3:25 Turmeric as a natural remedy vs. ibuprofen 4:32 More natural pain relief alternatives 6:15 Triggers of pain and inflammation8:25 Preventing inflammation Turmeric contains a potent compound called curcumin that can naturally alleviate pain and inflammation. There are 4 biochemical pathways that act as “master switches” to turn pain and inflammation up or down:1. Pain and inflammatory factory2. Master inflammation on-switch3. Inflammation megaphone 4. Backup inflammatory alarm system Many inflammatory treatments do not address all four pathways. Ibuprofen is great at turning the pain and inflammation switch off, and does so very quickly. Unfortunately, this pathway protects the stomach and kidneys, so ibuprofen can cause stomach ulcers and kidney issues. It also doesn’t address the other inflammatory pathways, which is why people often have to take it repeatedly. Tylenol works in the brain, affecting the central nervous system, but does not relieve any inflammation. Similar to ibuprofen, aspirin works on the first inflammatory pathway, which can also affect your stomach.Turmeric affects 3 out of the 4 inflammatory pathways! A double-blind randomized controlled study found that taking 1500 mg of turmeric with black pepper produced results comparable to ibuprofen without the side effects. Extra-virgin olive oil mimics ibuprofen's effects at the molecular level. Try adding it to your salad regularly! Ginger and omega-3 fatty acids also work to reduce inflammation. Boswellia targets the 5-LOX pathway, also known as the backup inflammatory alarm system. There are 5 primary causes that flip the inflammatory switches on, leading to pain and inflammation in the body. By addressing the root cause, you can correct the pain rather than simply managing it. The following 5 factors turn on all of the inflammatory switches:1. Insulin resistance2. Mitochondrial damage3. Chronic oxidative stress4. Leaky gut5. Chronic infectionsTo prevent inflammation and address the root cause, try the following:• Low-carb diet • Eliminate ultra-processed foods• Intermittent fasting/prolonged fasting• Magnesium, vitamin D3, zinc, omega-3sDr. Eric Berg DC Bio:Dr. Berg, age 60, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. How to Stop Porn Addiction (Never Relapse Again)
Porn addiction can destroy your life. Find out how to quit porn once and for all with a few simple strategies on overcoming addiction. Learn how to beat urges, eliminate triggers, and stop watching porn for good! 👉 Download Dr. Berg’s Free Daily Health Routine: https://drbrg.co/45qtO07 0:00 Introduction: Porn addiction recovery1:03 Dopamine and porn addiction4:42 Your brain on porn5:53 How to stop porn addiction8:12 Other tips to quit porn8:42 Addiction recovery and restoring dopamine levelsChronic porn addiction can destroy your sex life, your love life, and even interfere with your emotions. Porn addiction isn’t about sex or pleasure; it’s about dopamine.Pornography is the number one cause of erectile dysfunction in men under 40. Erectile dysfunction isn’t just the loss of erection; it’s a loss of libido and the ability to climax. The porn industry is not selling sex, they’re selling dopamine spikes! Dopamine is not a pleasure hormone, it’s a neurotransmitter. It’s about the anticipation before the pleasure: the want.Over time, pornography creates massive dopamine spikes, but the receptors are unable to receive them. This causes anticipation, cravings, and an obsessive urge to watch more porn. This is similar to the carb cravings you might experience if you have insulin resistance. Although 98 to 99 percent of porn is free, the porn industry manages to make billions off of the 1-2 percent of porn you have to pay for. This system relies on decreased sensitivity to dopamine, causing a person to crave more extreme porn.Too much dopamine leads to excitotoxicity, which is toxic to your neurons. As a protective mechanism, your cells will limit the amount of dopamine they allow in through a process called downregulation. The good news is that the damage to your dopamine receptors is reversible! The surprising solution is boredom. Allow yourself to be bored if you’re faced with the urge to watch porn. Over time, this will become easier and easier as your dopamine receptors return to normal. Try these tips to quit porn for good:• Don’t take your phone into the bedroom • Block pornography websites• Do not use social media that has soft porn• Remove triggers from your environmentTo restore normal dopamine levels after pornography addiction, focus on the following:• Sleep• Consistent exercise• Low-carb diet• Zinc• Magnesium • SunlightDr. Eric Berg DC Bio:Dr. Berg, age 60, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. Stop the Spinning & Dissolve 'Ear Crystals' (30 Seconds)

The most common type of vertigo is known as benign paroxysmal positional vertigo, or BPPV. This type of vertigo is caused by tiny calcium crystals that have broken off and migrated to the incorrect part of the ear, resulting in dizziness and spinning sensations. There are tiny hairs in the ear connected to nerves that pick up information and send it to your brain. A gel keeps this area sensitive, and calcium crystals act as weights in the gel to enhance its effectiveness. Calcium-binding proteins hold the calcium in the gel, which is regulated by vitamin D3. Many people with vertigo are extremely deficient in vitamin D!Vitamin D controls 2,400 different genes and is essential for immune function, healthy blood pressure levels, and acts as a potent anti-inflammatory agent. There is a tremendous amount of research supporting the use of vitamin D3 as an effective remedy for vertigo. Still, some research does not utilize nearly enough vitamin D. To prevent vertigo, you need at least 6,000 to 10,000 IU of vitamin D3 daily. Vitamin D does not work without magnesium. Magnesium is one of the master controllers of calcium, so a combination of vitamin D3 with magnesium is one of the best things you can do for vertigo. Vitamin K2 tells the body where to put calcium, and without enough, you can end up with calcium in the wrong places. For long-term vertigo relief, take at least 10,000 IU of vitamin D daily, with magnesium and vitamin K2. This problem could take a couple of weeks or more to address, so in the meantime, the Epley maneuver can provide immediate vertigo relief.
