15-year-old Boone High School student Linda Kerr disappeared from the Orlando, Florida area on Feb. 18, 1986. The investigation done by the Orange County Sheriff's office revealed that Linda left without her purse, shoes, or money.Six years later, in 1982, Carol Harker Kerr, who was married to Linda's older brother Ken, was murdered by their brother Keith Kerr. It is believed that he was killed around 1992-1993. There is very little known about his whereabouts in the ten years leading up to his death. Mabel Andrews' brother Tommie Lee Andrews was the first person in the United States to be convicted of a crime using DNA evidence.

The cases of Mabel Andrews (16) and Nancy Grace Daniel (14) are thought to be related, but the details are complicated. Both young women never returned to their Orlando, Florida area homes after going missing just months apart in 1976.
