Despite admitting to dismemberment and dumping remains, Sifrit denies involvement in the actual murders. Prosecutors oppose the request, arguing it doesnt serve justice. Sifrit, now 40, has nearly completed his 38-year sentence and is eligible for review under the act, which targets young adults convicted between 18 and 25, excluding life sentences, sex crimes, or certain first-responder killings. A hearing is scheduled for August 11, 2026.
