Show Notes

Michael Lee King, a 54-year-old Florida man, is set to be executed for the 2008 murder of Denise Amber Lee, a young mother of two. King abducted Lee, bound and assaulted her, then shot and buried her body. Despite Lees desperate 911 call, communication breakdowns led to her tragic death. The Denise Amber Lee Act was passed in response, improving 911 operator training. Kings appeals were denied, and hes scheduled for execution on Tuesday. Florida has carried out a record number of executions under Governor Ron DeSantis, with two more set for late March and mid-April.
