America braces for extreme weather: Scorching heat in the Southwest, deep snow in the northern states, bitter cold across the Midwest and East, and heavy rains flooding Hawaii. A super wavy jet stream drives big swings between hot and cold, with a heat dome locking in over the Southwest, pushing temperatures into the triple digits. Meanwhile, two back-to-back storms bring up to three or four feet of snow to the Great Lakes and northern tier, and an atmospheric river triggers flash flood warnings in Hawaii. Spring kicks off with record-breaking swings, but relief is on the way.
