Doug and Pete talk about leadership, and how helping our clients connect in with themselves and a parasympathetic state helps us to be better leaders for our families and communities. As much as we tried to avoid it, we also delve into politics, and dividing groups, as the reason we chose to run a 4 day program in Milwaukee a few years ago due to the divisions in that city. We talk about what we learned when talking with community leaders and visiting Mick, a man who created a haven for kids in a neighbourhood where we did not fit in, and how our host created a safe space for us as we left (and how it left us with a serious dose of reality).
