EThe Door Bumper Clear crew returns from Martinsville after a weekend that seems like it couldn't have gone worse, but things brighten up because we have Todd Gilliland joining us, who is all smiles. In the opening segment, or B.S. as we like to call it, we cover tons of ground, including the cause for Luke Baldwin's unfortunate wreck, Bubba Wallace's detrimental crash, and why the world of ARCA was buzzing this week. In Spot On, Spot Off, the topics we brought to the table were: - Was Alan Gustafson's call luck or strategy (or maybe even a little of both) - The package at Martinsville and the racing product - Jesse Love & Rajah Caruth's well-handled post-race conversation - The NASCAR Hall Of Fame Nominees List In Reaction Theatre, we hear from the Chasesexuals, try to pronounce SVG's full name, and get a not-so-nice Easter message for Denny Hamlin. Following that up is S*** Show Hall of Fame, and it felt like our nominees were being served up on a silver platter — with everything from Nashville Fairgrounds' short tracks faux pas to Porsches flying over catch fences. For Ask DBC, we ask Todd Gilliland if he really looks at the flag man, what he's doing with his week off, and what his go-to road trip snacks are. The gang wraps up with DBC picks, Weekend Winners, and their closing thoughts before teasing who we have coming on next week — hint: an undeniable Hall of Famer is making his return! Debating Darlington Fall Off with Matt Weaver
EYour Monday just got a whole lot better - Door Bumper Clear is HERE, and we have Matt Weaver joining us to talk Darlington, short tracks, and ... pizza? In the opening segment, we cover the whole wide world of racing, starting with the situation surrounding Matt & the Rattler at South Alabama Speedway. The crew then dives into whether or not the race at Darlington lived up to the hype the drivers have been hinting at. They also discuss Corey Heim's realistic chances to run well in the Cup Series and why it's not as easy as fans think it is. In Spot On, Spot Off, the topics covered were: - Tyler Reddick's chances to win the Regular Season Championship - Should Hendrick hit the panic button? - Justin Allgaier winning the NOAPS title before Homestead - The Chase Format vs. The Playoff Format Reaction Theatre did not disappoint, with Blaney fans calling in, people calling for Freddie to cut his hair, and a fan who is rather enthusiastic about his wife. In S*** Show Hall of Fame, we dive into the world of cycling, on-deck circles, and Max Verstappen's disqualification. This week's Ask DBC gets to the real nitty-gritty with Matt Weaver, with a debate about Chicago and New York style pizza ... oh, and which short track more fans should go visit. Why Did Jon Wood Say He Would Shave His Legs?
EMaking his triumphant return to the guest seat on Door Bumper Clear, Jon Wood, President of Wood Brothers Racing, joins the crew to discuss the race in Las Vegas, speeding tickets & the end of throwback weekend. After catching up with what Jon's been up to, the usual suspects, Freddie Kraft, Tommy Baldwin & Karsyn Elledge, kick us off with what happened in Las Vegas: speeding penalties galore, Denny Hamlin's dominating performance, and some post-race beef between ex-teammates, Ross Chastain & Daniel Suarez. In Spot On, Spot Off, the crew discusses: - Denny Hamlin's chances of breaking 70 career wins - Throwback Weekend is coming to an end after 10 years - How soon will SVG win on an oval track? This week's calls in Reaction Theatre were something to behold, with fans crushing beers and commenting on Freddie's uncharacteristically wild hair, and he reveals the reason behind the long locks. There were so many nominees for S*** Show Hall of Fame this week that it was hard for the crew to remember them all. And in Ask DBC, even though we are only 5 races into the year, you guys asked about silly season, so Freddie talks about some rumors he's heard around the garage. Randy LaJoie: Life-Saving Seats, Cleetus, and the Car He Still Hates
EIt’s Door Bumper Clear’s 400th episode! So, we had to go big with our guest, and there’s no one bigger than Randy LaJoie, a.k.a. “Big Rand.” He joins DBC to talk about Phoenix, his racing seats, and the crazy stories from his racing past. To open the show, Randy takes us down memory lane with stories about racing Dale Earnhardt, the race car he still hates, and how he got into making life-saving seats. Then the gang dives into the race in Phoenix, where horsepower, tire pressure, and Ryan Blaney’s comeback became some of the biggest storylines of the day. In Spot On, Spot Off, the topics they tee off on include: • A crew chief’s aggressive tire pressure play after Stage 1 • Ty Gibbs’ post-race comments about being with “the right guys” • Cleetus McFarland’s breaking O’Reilly Auto Parts Series news • The reality of Chase Briscoe making the playoffs from 32nd in points We then hear from you guys in Reaction Theatre, where the toasters were put away, and the race fans were out to play. S*** Show Hall of Fame didn’t disappoint, with Oscar Piastri, Dirt Crown Vics, and an unfortunate cameraman leading the way among the nominees. To wrap up the show, Randy LaJoie tells the insane story of his scary Daytona flip and shares his best Buckshot Jones memories. After that, the crew makes their picks for Vegas and shouts out their Weekend Winners. Here’s to another 400 episodes. Thank you for all the listens! Brent Crews: COTA, Cool Suits & The Age vs. Experience Debate
EDoor Bumper Clear is back and ready to recap the race at Circuit Of The Americas, and this time they are joined by a fresh face to the show and NOAPS series - Brent Crews! The 17-year-old racing phenom joins Freddie Kraft, Tommy Baldwin & Karsyn Elledge to discuss his debut and recap the race weekend. We open up learning about Brent's background, how he discovered racing, and how he felt battling against Shane van Gisbergen in his debut. In Spot On, Spot Off, the gang covers: Tyler Reddick's historic win, but will he make history with a Championship? Tire packs vs. track limits at COTA Corey Day's dust-up with Connor Zilisch and what it looks like for him to move forward Should the truck series return to St. Petersburg in 2027? Reaction Theatre & S*** Show Hall of Fame have a common theme, and that would be Karsyn Elledge handling business in the CARS Tour victory lane, as well as Eli Tomac chipping his tooth on his trophy - yes, that is a real sentence. The crew dives into Ask DBC, where we ask Brent about Flo's 20 Under 20 ranking, driver inspiration, and IndyCar x NASCAR crossover events. And that's a wrap for this week! We will see you guys after the race in Phoenix. Don't forget to check out the merch at shop.dirtymomedia.com! Want more DBC? Check out and subscribe to the new DBC YouTube channel! Want more DBC? Ryan Blaney On Atlanta, Hocevar & Llama Drama
EThe gang is back after a race weekend that was turbulent both on track and in the atmosphere, so warm up those bathtubs, Blaney fans! Ryan joins us to talk Atlanta, farm animals, and everything in between. In the opening segment, Freddie Kraft discusses his call at the end of the race when Bubba Wallace found himself in the lead. And it isn't really an episode of Door Bumper Clear if Tommy Baldwin doesn't bring up Carson Hocevar, but he might not have the reaction you expect after the 77's chaotic series of events. We celebrate Sheldon Creed's much-awaited win and then move on to Spot On, Spot Off, where the crew covers: Atlanta's place as the most entertaining racetrack Who wins first, Hocevar or Zilisch? Austin Hill's comments on Chastain's last lap move Shortened races could be the move? In Reaction Theatre, you knew we were going to hear from Rowdy fans after his win in the Truck series, but we weren't expecting to learn as much as we did about llamas. The fans lead us right into S***show Hall of Fame, and Sam Mayer, if you are reading this, yes, you made the show two weeks in a row. We round out the show with DBC Picks, Weekend Winners & Ask DBC, where we get the lowdown on Ryan Blaney's moustache care tips & ask if he ever actually called into the show last year. We hope you enjoy listening to this episode as much as we enjoyed making it! Want more DBC? Check out and subscribe to the new DBC YouTube channel! Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Bill France Didn't Want This
EIf you were expecting Door Bumper Clear to lay up to start the year, think again...The NASCAR world is bursting at the seams with storylines following the Daytona 500 weekend, so you know Freddie, Tommy & Karsyn will have plenty to dive into. They are joined by, as Freddie puts it, one of DBC's "sons", Connor Zilisch!Connor recaps his race & the gang talks about Tyler Reddick's win leading up to a locked and loaded Spot On, Spot Off segment, where they cover:- The last lap wreck and NASCAR holding off on throwing the caution.- Comparing the plate race fuel saving strategies to past styles of superspeedway racing.- How the NOAPS field couldn't best Austin Hill ... again! - Plus, an all-time rant about followers vs. talent and the barrier to entry for racing in NASCAR.After that, we head into a 'rowdy' Reaction Theatre segment where the fans made us laugh, blush, and question their morals. However, the real fireworks start when we get to the S*** Show Hall of Fame nominees, where we discuss the viral wreck that occurred in Saturday night's race, a car hitting a Kangaroo, and an Olympic athlete with a broken heart. We rounded the show out with Ask DBC & DBC Picks, so now it's time to get ready to head to Atlanta (isn't Austin Hill really good there, too? Oh brother...)Don't forget to check out the merch at shop.dirtymomedia.com & subscribe to Door Bumper Clear's YouTube channel! Want more DBC? Check out and subscribe to the new DBC YouTube channel!
