It's inevitable that your dog is going to meet other dogs and be forced to socialize at some point. It's important that you aren't doing things to make that dog social interaction any more tense than it might already be. These rules really apply at Dog parks and even when greeting dogs on leash. Whether you have a puppy or new rescue dog (or foster dog) it's important to have a plan for the planned and unplanned social moments in your dog's life.
