Well Yentl Syndrome is a perfect demonstration of how women and men sometimes receive different medical treatment. American cardiologist Bernadine Healy, a former President of the National Institutes of Health, came up with the name in 1991, as the title of a paper in the <em>New England Journal of Medicine</em>. To sum up, her evidence seemed to suggest that men were taken more seriously than women when claiming to be sick.</p><br><p><strong>Where does the name come from?
