The Avalanche now head back home to try the series and move on past the second round and on to the Stanley Cup Western Conference Finals. In the Eastern Conference, the Tampa Bay Lightning swept the Florida Panthers and are heading to Eastern Conference Finals for the third straight year. The Edmonton Oilers and the Calgary flames are going into the 4th game of the series with the Oilers up 2-1. The Carolina Hurricanes are also up 2-1 against the New York Rangers.
