In a mission to shine a light on Ghana’s talented music scene, the Essential mix series has been introducing listeners to some of the country's most iconic musicians. Featuring 16 celebrated artists so far, including Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, Sarkodie, Black Sherif, and Kwesi Arthur, the series now turns its attention to the Ghanaian trap king, Kweku Smoke. Kweku Smoke, a rapper and songwriter renowned for his consistency and powerful street anthems, has been chosen as the seventeenth artist to be spotlighted. Known for his recent project Kweku Jesus, Kweku Smoke's music resonates with the everyday experiences of life on the streets, establishing him as a favorite among fans and earning him the title of Ghana’s Trap King.
