This week Pip is joined by author and poet CECILIA KNAPP!
A perfect chance to catch up with Cecilia, and a lovely one to file alongside past episodes with DPP alumni Kae Tempest, Polarbear, Musa Okwonga and so on. Cecilia and Pip go back as far as the days of Bestival, and it’s lovely to hear about the journey she’s taken and the many moments of day and night along the way. We hear about the actual factual nuts and bolts of the process of writing (which includes actual human emotions and real life moments), share some moments of her family all along the way (to those of a more sensitive nature, you might want to tread carefully by the way - it’s a touch heavy), hear about her early days and entry points into spoken word and poetry which involves said Polarbear / Steve Camden, as well as the also great Jack Rooke, channeling grief, the CALM organisation, being in creative bubbles, and dipping in and out of characters in her novel ‘Little Boxes’.
