Welcome, welcome and a third customary welcome to YOU, dear Distraction Pieces Podcast listener, and to the one hundred and eighty first episode! A damn fine, properly solid episode it is too, as your loyal host Scroobius Pip is joined by creator and star of 'Taskmaster' (and very good friend of Tim Key), Alex Horne!
Get involved, be you viewer or not, in this chat with Pip and Alex, and enjoy the ground covered between the pair of them. Situated out in the Taskmaster shed, which - as you will hear from time to time - lies directly under a flight path, hear Alex get down and dirty in the history, present and future of the hit Dave channel programme, which involves a good amount of Edinburgh Fringery, along with a hefty amount of Tim Key, and some good old fashioned messing about. From there on things get serious and the show is created, and you'll hear all about it - from the favourite stars, the evolution and theory of having the same team episode to episode, the awesome and bizarre tasks involved, his early days on the Big Brother series and how that fed the seeds of his ideas, a pizza interlude (don't worry, no 'misophonia' warnings on this one), his Horne Section, US and UK comedy, and just a great chat with a very nice person indeed. Wonderful stuff.
