Show Notes

hristy owns and operates Nourish Gardens, a small scale intensive cut flower farm and education centre on Waiheke Island, New Zealand. Nourish Gardens provides sustainably grown cut flowers to florists, wholesalers and direct to the public, and has been established for seven years. We specialise in 'garden style' blooms including dahlias, roses, and other luscious and quirky seasonal flowers. We are a founding member of the Floral Collective Aotearoa, a weekly grower run wholesale market for florists in Auckland. During the flower harvesting season we have an on site farm shop where we sell fresh flowers and a range of other products direct to the public and also run a wide range of workshops and courses. We believe in building and supporting a strong resilient local flower industry. Together with Julie Treanor, of The Pickery, Christy also runs a coaching and mentoring programme for other flower growers, called Floral Business Activator. "I like: selling every single flower that I grow, power tools, my kick ass crew, Sunday lie-ins, and cinnamon rolls. I dislike: deadheading, temperatures above 25 degrees, caterpillars, and cooked tomatoes" website- nourish gardens.com learn.floralbusinessactivator.com
